BassLik
when i bought my Geddy bass, i met these guys through craigslist and had a one day jam session, we ran through the songs about three times, then we hit the record button. songs are way to fast and sloppy, but we had a blast for a one time jam session, i used a SANS AMP DI box straight into pro tools, and we jammed through headphones, but i think the Geddy tone is pretty much there, except its lacking grit thats added in his tone, but the base tone is there. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK????????????? glad to be here folks http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/wub.gif http://www.geocities.com/geddybasslik/
syrinxpriest 2112
Not bad, not bad at all. But yes, the bass only needs a bit more gain to get that signature geddy growl. And keep in mind, that he plays directly through the house speakers.

Syaoran_2001
Great job, the songs sound great, awesome tone you've got there. One thing though, what is with people calling the song "Spirit of the Radio"? It's "The Spirit of Radio." It always bothers me when people say it wrong.

Jon
Sounds pretty good for a jam! Bass tone is pretty close. Geddy's been using a Sansamp RBI himself for some time (switching to a RPM on the S&A tour), but you probably knew that... Geddy's Bass Tech posted quite a lot of details of Geddy's current setup over on TalkBass. I could post a summary here if anyone's interested... BassLik
that would be cool jon, thanks again for the props, man if we were to do a tribute band and practiced more, i think we would do a great job at it, considering the two tribute bands here in phx, which are great bands, but i think we came somewhat closer to the recordings, nonetheless they are great to see live, next to rush themselves of coarse. heres their site if you want to take a gander. http://anthemtribute.com/ Anthem - Latest News
