  1. i was there as well and thought it was a truly magical show as well!!!!! i flew from KY to Vegas for this show and sooooooooo glad I did.
  2. well i'm flying from KY to las vegas to see them at the MGM grand in november and a big reason for that is because shows that are closer to me didnt work in my schedule...... initially i was bummed but willing to miss this tour because i had seen them many times already and most recently on the time machine tour.. BUT when i saw the setlist for this tour I had to find a way to go......so my wife and i decided to take a short trip to vegas and see the show... so at least for this fan they are providing a top quality product that I am still willing to spend alot on to have be a part of my life.
  3. here's what they need to do at the official band website.......they need to put up a poll of all their songs and you can go and pay $25 to register and then pick up to ten songs you would like to hear on tour. that way you dont just have to pick "one"....this way you get to pick some hits you still want to hear along with a handful of deeper cuts. then all of the votes will be tallied and and they can play the top 20 or so songs rated (or however many songs can be squeezed into the time the set allows). your $25 can then be applied to a PROMO code via ticketmaster to receive $25 off of a ticket purchase for the actual show. in other words you cant just be a troll wanting to vote....you would have to be willing to shell out $25 to place your vote but you would get your $25 back when you purchased an actual ticket to the show. then that would allow the best true mix of what "the fans" want to hear to be used in reality.....still would be some bitchers but fewer.
  4. so the crowd was "decent" or "better than decent"? what venue were they playing in?
  5. i remember on the vapor trails tour i saw them at riverbend in cincy and i was surprised at how small the crowd was....the pavillion was pretty full (holds about 6500) and it looked like there were maybe 1500-2000 in the lawn so the total attendance looked to be between 6500-8500........the times I saw them before the place was always packed......so i was worried. then fast forward to the S & A tour at the same venue and BOOM the crowd is 2x as big as the last time. and then last year seeing them on the TM tour in Louisville and the place had a great crowd in the KFC Yum center....i was very pleased and at today's ticket prices doing more than 10,000 in this economy is incredible. i would say that this tour needs to average more than 7000 per night to be a "winner" for everyone involved and i think it will average better than that....there may be stops that dont do 7000 but several will do better. they still have some die hards still out there because me and my wife are flying from KY to Las Vegas in November to see them at the MGM Grand for shits and giggles......
  6. march 6, 1990 on the Presto tour with mr. big opening.
  7. i'm going to be seeing them lousiville tomorrow....but my buddy saw them in nashville and it's so weird how sound is affected by where you sit......i think they were in the lower part of the upper arena a few sections down from the stage and he said it was the best sound he's ever heard at a rush show and i think he's seen them about 5 times now. he was really happy with overall show.
  8. well i didnt get to see the first leg so i am pretty excited that they arent changing the setlist......i was really bummed i didnt get to see them first time around.
  9. it blows me away that people are complaining about them touring and the ticket prices. it's simple supply and demand from economics 101.....they wouldnt tour and charge what they do it there wasnt an ample enough amount of people and promoters out there to make it work financially. I'm sure they love being RUSH and making music.....but at the end of the day they have been lucky to work at something they love.....but make no mistake....RUSH is a business......there are many people that depend on the success of that business. athletes love to play their sport but they damn sure want to make sure they get the biggest contract they can when it's negoitations time. I make a decent living but if I had the opporntunity to make double what I make now....I wouldnt turn it down. Just because we perceive them as being "rich" and "not needing the money" doesnt mean they dont want more or maybe even need more....we dont know how they live, what family members they choose to help etc.... they want to be successful and they are cashing in while the timing is right....that's good business.....it aint no different than back in the glory days when they played massive tours and added legs because the demand was there.....if 8000-12000 people per city will pay on average $100 per ticket then you can bet your life they will keep touring and adding legs.....so would I. Now it's up to us to either agree to buy those tickets or say nope....too steep for me I'm done. it's that simple.
  10. actually those attendance numbers are really good......averaging between 8000-10,000 is very good these days for nearly any band....plus those shows were grossing nearly $500,000 per stop. i would say they were very pleased with those results.
  11. after a couple of listens I love them so far.....i do kind of agree with some of the posters that I wish Neil would move on to a new subject instead of his anti-religion thing. small issue but other than that i really dig the tunes.
  12. i'm ok with whatever they choose to do....it's their song and their tour....they can do whatever they want......when they get around to doing things I dont enjoy anymore then I wont go see them live anymore but currently I still enjoy every second of seeing them live.
  13. man i love that album so just abotu anythign woudl be fine with me but as of today it would be; cold fire and stick it out.
  14. one of the greatest bands of all time......and steve walsh is in my opinion one of the top 3 rock singers to ever live!!!!!!!!
