iluvgeddy05 Posted July 6, 2008 Share Posted July 6, 2008 SOO...the meetup. I FAIL at life because there was a car show going on in the area where I wanted to do the meetup. This was around 2:30 or so when I got there, so I went to get DS, came back and we parked in the lot right along side of the automobile museum. I had my TRF sign and a couple of my coworkers/friends showed up. By 4p, I didn't see anyone and I thought it was either because people couldn't find us because we were NOT where I said I was going to be. Then, long story short, we got kicked out of that parking lot because there was a wedding that evening in the Hall of Springs. UGH!!! By then, the car show was over, so my coworker's car and mine went over to the lot next to Roosevelt drive and we hung there until the gates opened around 6:45p. The main lot wasn't letting people in until 6pm which is why I never went there either. What a MESS. We ended up being in the last row of the balcony. I took a huge pile of pictures but I highly doubt any of them will be worth looking at. The show was comparable to Mansfield, MA in its awesomeness, but a couple of songs (specifically Freewill and Subdivisions) seemed extra "on". That's close to where we were last year: on the balcony, but two or three rows from the last. This year, we were in the very last row of the ground floor. But at least we were CENTERED both times. Unfortunately, this year I had a man taller than freaking Chewbacca standing two rows in front of me. Despite being on lower ground than I, he STILL blocked part of my view.
