1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 May 3, 2008 Reno, NV 05/03/08 - Reno, NV Venue Website
Midway Hawker Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 This venue is TIGHT!!! No upper level.. Doesn't look like there is a bad seat in the house. Anybody been there?
Mr. Mojo Risin' Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I found it odd that floor seats were the same as the first half of the lower level, even though the lower level seats are pretty good. The building itself isn't an arena type, not tall.
goose Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 QUOTE (Midway Hawker @ Jan 22 2008, 11:19 PM) This venue is TIGHT!!! No upper level.. Doesn't look like there is a bad seat in the house. Anybody been there? There are no bad seats, and their pretty comfortable, as I recall. Everything rises nicely, so the views are pretty solid. As far as location city-wise, it's right downtown, walking distance to the major hotels/casinos. Also very near the bus station, if anyone's coming that way. I'm taking the whole fam for the first time, wife and 12-year-old daughter, which is pretty exciting for me as a dad. I'll post whatever pre-function plans my buddies and I come up with. There's a decent bar/grill right by the venue...the name escapes me.
Midway Hawker Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Cool goose... I'll be there, but no ticket yet.. Probably staying at Silver or Circus on Friday/Saturday night... Hope there is enough of us for a meet up. No one posting in here. come on folks.. I know it ain't Vegas, but it is cheaper and still slots of fun!
kayla_rae Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Hey Midway and the rest of y'all. I hav'nt got a ticket yet but I will soon. I've been scanning c/l for tix. .................
awj211267 Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Hey Rushies in Reno!! Where should we meet up? Since the gig is downtown we can all pretty much walk from the meeting place to the show. Thats what makes Reno different (better?)than Vegas. Silver legacy?? I still need a ticket............anyone selling? .......................... ...........................
FreewillForever Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I plan to be there and also plan to bring a friend.
Midway Hawker Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 I'll be staying at Silver Legacy. I wouldn't mind meeting up there at the Gekco Bar or the Brew Brothers.
FreewillForever Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Another vote for Brew Brothers. I'll see if my friend is up for that.
goose Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Brew Bros is a good call. I'll pass the word to my buddies. Two weeks out now?
awj211267 Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Brew bros. is a good choice. ................. .................. I still hav'nt got a ticket yet. My buddy is supposed to come up from the bay area but he may flake. Wow, two weeks!! .................... .........................
goose Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Talked to my buddies yesterday and they're in for Brew Bros.
Midway Hawker Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Sounds like Brew Brothers in the place to meet. Cyg, they have a HUGE cigar bar.... Hope to see you there.
CygnusX-1Bk2 Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Don't know when I am heading up that way. I have a baseball game at Land Park in Sacramento the next morning so I will probably drive to Sac after the show and get a room near the park. If I can get up to Reno well before showtime I will meet everybody. I'll rest when I am dead!
HuskyRunner Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 How far is it from Brew Bros to the Events Center? I can't believe the show is almost here.
awj211267 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 It's just a few blocks Husky. You can walk there . Downtown Reno is very compact, not like Vegas. You got your ticket?..................
Midway Hawker Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Yeah, Brew Brothers is between Silver Legacy and El Dorado. The Event Center is just a few blocks from there. Walking should not be a problem (and recommended after throwing back a few).
HuskyRunner Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I got my tickets. I promised myself I get up front at least once and this is it.... front row center. Price was a bit much but how often do you get an opportunity like this. I can't wait.
awj211267 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Front row center..............DAMN!! Good for you ............... I'll have to settle for less than that. There are still some decent tix on c/l.
HuskyRunner Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 I noticed there are still a pretty good number of tickets available through TicketsNow. I'm really hoping its a good turnout. I saw them in Marysville on the R30 tour and the turnout was horrible and the boys were just not into it. Alex even cut the improvisation session short. I was really disappointed and even mentioned to my friend "they won't be coming back here again". I'm glad I was wrong, the S&A stop in Marysville was the best concert I have ever seen.

How are the chances of scoring a decent seat the day of the concert?
awj211267 Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I might be doing that sark. I'll have to wait until next week when I get paid anyway. I might just show up with $ 100.00 and see what I can get.
