JohnRutsey
Hey, my first post here. Was just wondering if anyone knew of a good refrence biography for the band, that is online. All I can find are these stupid 'VH-1' and 'Launch' ones. Thanks, and rock on.

Online may be tough for a biography, but there are Rockline Interviews (audio) and many books out there... Welcome to the board!

GhostGirl
Very cool...I'd give it an A. You might want to mention briefly WHY the band took their longest hiatus after T4E...

madra sneachta
Very good work JohnRutsey, but if I may make two small points - QUOTE (the band NEVER uses other musicians on tour or in the studio) This is slightly inaccurate, as Ben Mink played violin on Losing It and Hugh Syme has played guest keyboards on a few tracks as well. In the formative years, rather than referring to Neil as the main "songwriter", lyricist might be a better word (as you described him earlier). Apart from those two monir points, I'm darned impressed

Drumnut
A little late here but I found an interesting early Rush Chronogical History: Link here One of the last entries: JAN. 21, 1979 - Rush played a sold out show at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Blondie, the band opened for Rush was booed off of the stage before they even had a chance to begin. The entire croud chanted Rush! Rush! Rush! As soon as the lead guitarist of Blondie shot the finger, the crowd filled the stage with debris... This may be part of the reason why Rush hasn't had anyone open up for them lately! Keep the tradition, Boo 'em off the stage!!!
