Mr. Henry Gale
QUOTE (thestand @ Mar 9 2007, 05:38 PM) I appreciate Funeral, but am meh towards NB. Really? For me, Funeral had more EPIC songs, and ones that will be remembered more (Tunnels #1, Wake Up, Rebellion (Lies) to name a few). However, for me anyways, Neon Bible is much more consistant. I enjoy listening to the album as a whole (and in one go) more then I did with Funeral. I'm also a fan of folk, and Neon Bible has a couple songs that are on the folk side, or at least show some rootsy influence. As a preference, I like Neon Bible better. I also like Wins voice better on the new record. Edited March 9, 2007 by Mr. Henry Gale
PuppetKing2112
There have already been like three threads about this, but yeah, love them. Neon Bible is my favorite album of 2007 so far, and I'm seeing them over Memorial Day Weekend.

theworkingman
I love this band and their music. Neon Bible is probably my favorite album in the past decade. No Cars Go is an incredible track. Just amazing music.
RushHour
I love both their albums. I hope they tour here in 2009 or 2010. I'd rather see AF than U2 (who they've actually opened for in the past). Win Butler is an American dude who relocated to Canada. Gotta like that! fledgehog
Yes, Arcade Fire are awesome! Funeral is a masterpiece, and Neon Bible is close behind! No Cars Go is actually my most-played on last.fm, and one of my favorite songs ever. I love these guys.
Kudzu
Funeral is simply put one of the three or four greatest rock albums of all time.

Ultra
Great band, saw them a few times back in 2005 when they toured for Funeral and again in 2007 for Neon Bible. Can't wait to see what they put out next.

Hard to argue with this statement. It's definitely one of the greatest albums of this decade, Along with Absolution, ( ) and Arctic Monkeys' Humbug. I hope that the four I've listed above will come to define this decade in years to come.

PuppetKing2112
Isn't it a little early to call something "one of the defining albums of the decade" one day after it leaks in horrible quality?
Mandalorian Hunter
Sound quality doesn't matter if the songwriting is good enough. Plus we all know it'll be better quality. Also, the web transmission they did was great quality. I've heard half the album before anyway, and I knew they were on to a winner from those tracks. I'm probably jumping the gun because for so many people the debut will define them, but Humbug is just so good. Either way, any Arctic Monkeys album will be seen as a defining album of the decade.
