I appreciate Funeral, but am meh towards NB.

Really?

For me, Funeral had more EPIC songs, and ones that will be remembered more (Tunnels #1, Wake Up, Rebellion (Lies) to name a few). However, for me anyways, Neon Bible is much more consistant. I enjoy listening to the album as a whole (and in one go) more then I did with Funeral.

I'm also a fan of folk, and Neon Bible has a couple songs that are on the folk side, or at least show some rootsy influence. As a preference, I like Neon Bible better.

I also like Wins voice better on the new record.

There have already been like three threads about this, but yeah, love them. Neon Bible is my favorite album of 2007 so far, and I'm seeing them over Memorial Day Weekend.

Did a search, and I didnt see an "Appreciation" thread for the band. If there is one, my bad.

I love both their albums. I hope they tour here in 2009 or 2010.

I'd rather see AF than U2 (who they've actually opened for in the past).

Win Butler is an American dude who relocated to Canada. Gotta like that!

Most likely the greatest album of this decade.

Hard to argue with this statement.

It's definitely one of the greatest albums of this decade, Along with Absolution, ( ) and Arctic Monkeys' Humbug.

I hope that the four I've listed above will come to define this decade in years to come.

I'm about to listen to Humbug right now.

I heard the sound quality is shit but I'm still looking forward to it.

Sound quality doesn't matter if the songwriting is good enough. Plus we all know it'll be better quality. Also, the web transmission they did was great quality. I've heard half the album before anyway, and I knew they were on to a winner from those tracks. I'm probably jumping the gun because for so many people the debut will define them, but Humbug is just so good.

Either way, any Arctic Monkeys album will be seen as a defining album of the decade.
