Rush might work...just replace synths with strings, makes it sound cool, gives Geddy one less thing to do. On the other hand, Rush Symphony could just as well be a complete disaster.

I once saw a disc of RUSH chamber music. I passed on purchase. Has anyone ever heard it? If so, what's the verdict?

i think its awsome, but with the right band

 

i love to hear some horns and stuff in the background, but again, only in some cases

I'd LOVE for Rush to do a symphony gig/tour. Xanadu, Jacob's Ladder, La Villa Strangiato, Nobody's Hero, the list could go on and on.

 

About the Rush "chamber music" disc, I've got it and its pretty good overall, a bit thin in places but the arrangements are quite true to the originals. It follows the set list for Exit Stage Left but strangely leaves off La Villa Strangiato.
