It has only snowed a trace amount a few times. Unfortunately for me I am supposed to fly to Chicago on Friday for a wedding shower and starting tonight we are supposed to get bombed with snow thru Friday morning. It started at 2-6 inches and now it is up to at least 1 foot. I hate to fly and there is not way I will do it in snow, with strong winds. It's just my luck that now we get a storm! priest_of_syrinx Posted March 25, 2009 Share Posted March 25, 2009 Where do I start? On Monday evening, the blizzard got here. It started as freezing rain, but eventually switched over to snow. We got 8 inches of snow, and because of all the snow melt from the 50-60 degree days we've gotten in the last week, the Missouri River is now flooding. They've stopped all output from the Garrison Dam. This is the first time they've taken that measure. Ever. Part of our town has been evacuated because of flood waters and with transportation difficult due to 8 inches of blowing snow plus ice underneath that, it is screwed up around here. Of course, Bismarck STILL decided to have school.
