Drummers

I have found that while playing , if I chew gum, it helps me concentrate on what I'm doing, and occasionally allows me to better follow the rhythm of the song. Also, having something to chew on gives me an excuse to make funny faces tongue.gif

Any other drummers find advantage (or disatvantage) to chewing gum while playing?

I suppose it applies to all other non-singer musicians as well...confused13.gif

This is Carter Beauford's TRADEMARK laugh.gif

While soloing, he'll blow bubbles.

Wow, that's pretty cool that he can do that. trink38.gif

Agreed but sometimes it really screwes me up if i'm having a bad session with them, usually i find having the perfect pair of socks on is key for me, especially since playing barefoot just causes more problems and it's been over a year since I have. Just depends i guess.

I smoke and play all the time.

You should find out what kind of gum Carter chews and go buy some. Ya know, because it's gotta make you a better player if you do exactly what the other guy does! wacko.gif laugh.gif
