Call me Old School, but I liked the voluptuous Elinor the Fairy, from Ralph Bakshi's Wizards.

Are you asking for my opinion on this article? Or the images that have been posted in this thread. Two different subjects I think.

The "bad girl" that I enjoy represented in comics is a very mild form of cartoon or comic erotica. I think the art that is being discussed in that article is of a nature that I honestly don't get into. The most explicit art I have ever indulged in was that of Jim Balent. Jim became famous as the artist for Catwoman and then went on to form his own company BroadSword Comics. He and his wife, Holly GoLightly are the creative team behind TAROT, a comic about the adventures of a witch based around true Wiccan beliefs and supernatural stuff as well. Jim's art has gotten progressively more adult and leaves little to the imagination these days, but I don't believe he's crossed over into cartoon porn yet. I haven't read an issue of Tarot in a few years though, so I can't be sure.

My interests in the genre of bad girls is quite tame, and must be driven by a very complex character development as well as amazing art and incredible artistic display of the female form. While any artist can draw a "bad girl", only a few can truly capture her essence and make you feel her pain.

The "bad girl" in comics, to me anyway, is usually a character that has gone through some type of traumatic personal hell, which leads her to be the evil bitch she is. USUALLY, there is still a glimmer of the woman she used to be inside her which can lead to heroistic actions. Such as Lady Death or Catwoman. Some of the girls posted in this thread don't actually meet that criteria, but I wasn't going to expound on that every time someone posted an image I disagreed with meeting the criteria.

So as far as "dirty comics" go, I don't buy that variety of pulp and wouldn't know how to comment on that. The fact that I don't buy it, in some ways must give you my opinion on it. I've seen that type of comic, and it does nothing for me. The hinted, subtle forms of sexuality expressed by much more subdued versions of "bad-girl" art, I find to be much more erotic than fully graphic stuff.
