Wow -- Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA!

Recommended Posts

I tried Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA for the first time this past weekend, and I have to say: f***ing WOW. This ale is without question the best IPA I have ever tried. It simply rocks. A Truly Outstanding Beer.

Try it, the first chance you get. But be careful. The sweet light taste is dangerously deceptive. At 9% alcohol, one could easily get into trouble drinking this delicious beer.

Unbelievably, I've yet to try this one, even though it's a benchmark IPA. I think the exhorbitant price has scared me off each time. Maybe the next time I go shopping I'll take the plunge.

I tried exactly one. I was out of state this weekend and tried some new beers that I can't find in my area at a bar with a good selection.

Tried several good beers that were new to me. This was my favorite. I was tempted to just stick with this one, it was so good, but my mission was to try as many new ones as I could (within reason without getting totally shitfaced -- and that is hard to do when one is drinking high gravity ales. I must confess that I got pretty shitfaced in the end anyway.)

The 90-Minute is, I believe, over $10 for a four-pack. But maybe it's worth it... trink38.gif

Paid 6 dollars for the one bottle in the bar.

I'd say it is DEFINITELY worth 10 bucks for a four pack.

Hey, do the math. At 9% alcohol, that is a lot of bang for the money.

Btw . . at this bar, there was one beer on the menu for SIXTY DOLLARS for a single large bottle. Don't remember what it was, something I've never heard of, something foreign, french or belgian, something like that. I like trying new beers, but that was ridiculous. Didn't try that one. The bartendress said they had never actually sold one of those, so far.
