Tick Posted February 26, 2006 Author Share Posted February 26, 2006 Well having gone through tough rehabs from accidents i can say its not fun , but the more love and support you have the quicker you will recover , and knowing how much people care makes it a little bit easier , my flame is definetly lit for kris untill further notice. I would like to thank Tick and pay my respects to former flame keeper award winners necromancer and ABZ Highlander for their continued love and devotion to Hilda, as well as to all the others who are unswerving in their devotion to this noblest of quests. I'd also like to thank Bob and Harvey Weinstein. __________________________________ I think it only approrpriate to go back to my roots, as it were, and relate to you all a story about Hilda I had never previously told.: Hilda and I were spending some time with local villagers in Papua New Guinea, as we were hoping to find the long lost Amelia Earhart and were retracing the steps she took in her fabled attempt to fly around the world in 1937. Incidentally, we did find her and she is currently living in my basement. Anyway, the tribe had just performed a very involved mating/fertility ritual for Hilda and I, which we both thought was hilarious since we were not a "couple", even though we had sex several times a week. At a certain climax (metaphorically speaking) of the ceremony, we each had to light the other's tiki torch using only our love to ignite the flames. Since we had been prepared and annointed with the appropriate oils, spices and crushed flowers, and the proper gods had been prayed to and appeased, we were able to easily light each others torches aflame. As you may have guessed, this is where the idea for the flame of hope first originated. Hilda then said something to me as we sat on the shores of the Coral Sea, basking in the glow of the flames and our love, that has stayed with me for years, something that I have cherished deeply and have never forgotten, something that I think of often in these dark times when we search to find our long-lost Hilda and have never uttered to another living Soul prior to this moment. __________________________________ Thank you so much for listening to my story and for this great honor.
