I've had this one for the last half an hour since I posted it:

It's great. Charles Altura is a great player but I don't like his tone his guitar sounds like a fart whistle. He has the chops though and he looks at home in the world of Chick fusion pyrotechnics.

Bass player is amazing.

Yeah he's a beast. He didn't play on the record but he was on the Five Peace Band one with John McLaughlin and the trio ones with Brian Blades.

Damn you know your shit. You blow me away but I can keep up with you. I love Five Peace Band.

Pat! I'm listening to the first EXTREME album. Not impressed so far. It's been years man.

It's a bit weak but there's some good guitar work.

I agree. Nuno steals the show as always.

Gary has always been a bit average and the rhythm section isn't anything that special. Nuno is the talent in the band. They did Mike Mangini on drums though around 1995.

Amazing musicians, but I'm a bit bored Pat.

Give me Chick Corea Elektric Band any day!!! WECKL!!!!

Well Chick likes to play different styles mate!

He does! A GENIUS!

Do you have the Vigil album Earl? It's worth getting if you haven't. It's a slow burner at first but eventually it clicks. The artwork and digipak is cool too. I don't know what happened to the other bass player he must have quit the band over musical differences with Chick!

I love your Vault Of Metal Knowledge.

Dude! Gary is the weakest link. Just like James LaBrie Cheese.

I told you this story I think.

I saw the VAN HALEN III Tour with Gary Sharebone. It was terrible but the set list was good.

My favorite part was when Gary went off the stage do do his 1000th land wardrobe change.

Fukking Michael Anthony sang lead on "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" and NAILED IT!!

From that moment on was always hoping that VAN HALEN could tour as a three piece!!

Mikey probably wouldn't want to sing every song though, it'd be too much work for him!

Gary is a poser who seems like he'd be happier in the gym rather than onstage.

The opening of "Mutha" is damn good.

The name reminds me of this:

Hahaha! That's awesome!!! Better than "Greatest Hits Are For Soccer Moms!" That kid from Seattle who was a forum member on here years ago had that in his avatar or something. He was a cool kid. Remember him Pat? He was a good writer. We argued a bit but he loved talking music too.

It's about a 75 minute album epic. There's one so-so song with Chick's wife Gayle singing on it but it's by far the shortest song at just 5 minutes.

Puppetking?

Actually this guy's tone sounds better on the last song on the video, sounds much more full and ballsy.

There was part two of that album:

The Trident Sessions are not Trio Of Doom. Mahavishnu Orchestra. Another brain fart. Sorry.

I saw Tony Williams live at Yoshi's in Berkeley California. I was there having dinner with Wendy and my parents.

This is probably why I'm divorced.

Back then it was easy to sneak in to the little club.

Well I left the table and went to the bathroom.

But then snuck in and watched a few tunes. One of the greatest Pat. EMERGENCY!

I remember seeing that in Asda for years back in the day! I eventually bought it from somewhere else but I kept going back to the Asda one just to look at it!
