  1. Any updates? this reminds me of last tour......
  2. I missed the date of sale for the VIP in TO night 1 and just happend to find out 7 hours after the time of sale. Had row 15 dead center. Was closer the last tour but oh well. Still a great show....
  3. that sucks.... it was really cool. The font was perfect. I should have asked
  4. 3 guys infront of my at the concert in TO on night 1 were wearing a greyish t-shirt with Dirk Lerxst Pratt on the back with some other things and on the front it said The Watchmaker. I assumed it was part of the concert shirts sold and online so I never thought to ask them where they got the shirt. I've looked online and at the merch table and didn't see those. Anyone know what shirt I'm taking about and where they might have gotten them?
  5. I had all 3 on order when they were first announced. I've exchanged emails with Knucklebonz and based on my last email I cancelled them "Alex and Geddy are on hold but we are still hopeful of getting these guys done in the near future." So without all 3 I'm not interested and nothing is guaranteed all 3 will be made.
  6. I think it's the audience mic's. From personal experience when you wear in-ear monitors they block out almost all of the crowd noise and you lose that "live" feel. A couple of audience mics in your mix and you can get the audience vibe again.
  7. Package #2 arrived yesterday. Still waiting for my credit and package #3.. I cant wait till this is over
  8. Well more drama I guess you could say. I called yesterday and the manager was off sick again. They suggested that I call again tomorrow (today). Then just before 5pm I get a call from a lady at Live Nation saying that my issue just got to her desk and she doesn't know why she didn't see my case before hand. She apologized over and over again and said it isn't right. She said she would look into it and call me back. I said I wasn't happy and I wanted to be compensated about this, as its been since June that I have been waiting. She said she could see what she can do. Take into consideration I ordered 3 packages etc At around 8pm last night she called back and said they had sent out 2 packages and doesn't understand why I only got 1 and that maybe it got held up at customs crossing the boarder. Apparantly they are out of some items which is why 2/3 shipped. She was going to put another order for the missing package to be shipped with the remaining package. So that means they are sending out 2 packages when the merchandise arrives. She said if the missing package shows up to keep it. the best part about this is that she asked for my ticketmaster order number as she was going to credit me $200 which was the cost of the ticket for all the problems I have been having. That is great I said but I still want the other 2 packages.. the saga continues...
  9. well I called last week and was told the manager will personally handle this and I will get an email back by the end of the week. If I don't hear back I should call on Monday. Monday is basically here, I will be calling first thing in the morning.
  10. Ok so an update here. I think this is some kind of joke or maybe I should get the award for the guy who's gotten screwed. I called Fanfire again a couple of weeks ago and said at this point I want my money back minus the cost of the ticket. There were 3 packages ordered under my name (2 were for my brothers who went to the concert with me). I was told how the office is different than the warehouse blah blah blah. So I spoke to the same lady who said she would talk to her supervisor when she returned from holidays. I asked what if I dont hear back by next week and she said to call back. Well as I figured I heard nothing and had to call back. I spoke to the supervisor and expressed my disgust. She agreed. The following day I received and email with 3 new order numbers but the next paragraph said there were out of some of the merchandise and would ship when it's complete. So last Thursday, I opened up the front door and saw this big white envelope just sitting there. I opened it up and it was the VIP package. My next question is, where are the other 2??? So it's almost a week later and 2 are still MIA... This will be warranting another call. Unreal!!!!
  11. This truly is a joke. I just called to find out. Apparently I should have received the packages long ago however when I called the last time I was told to still wait as it's normal shipping time. so now I have to email fanfare tickets with my order number and the package is considered "lost" so they have to reship it out.
  12. I'll post back should I ever receive my package
  13. Just called fanfare. It takes 10-26 business days. nice
  14. I put my money on the wireless system. I'm betting the problem was a faulty battery or maybe interference in the signal
  15. So I've seen Rush probably 15 or 16 times over the years since Signals. First off let me say being 11th row was incredible. In my opinion Geddy has never played so great. He's got that flicking fingers thing going a lot these days and it's pretty incredible to see. His sound is amazing. He has that kind of Hemispheres bass tone again. I loved the show and my brothers and I were constantly blown away by them. So Alex sounded great but in the Moving Pictures part of the show something happened with his guitar. During YYZ you heard this sort of high pitch sound coming from his guitar. It would cut in and out and you can see he was looking over at his tech constantly. It was as if when he would stop playing it got worse. In YYZ with the Geddy/Neil alternating solos part it really stood out. He was clearly frustrated and it was visual. At one point he had this roll his eyes with his head back, and even checked the input jack himself. He walked over to Neil at the end of the song and I couldn't tell what he was saying but it looked like he was saying to wait... YYZ finished and Limelight was next. There was a short intro video and he swapped guitars. He started the opening riff and the guitar was cutting in and out! It sounded like his guitar was muting and unmuting and let's face it, Limelight opening riff is pretty major. His tech ran out and pressed something on his wireless pack and then his guitar was fine. You could tell he was off for the next couple of songs. I felt so bad for the guy. I myself play live every weekend and have been for many many years. I know the feeling of playing and something goes wrong and you panic. I haven't played infront of 18,000 people but I had a similar problem playing infront of 5,000 people and it just rattles you.
  16. I got my ship email but no info given like the rest of you.
  17. Honestly, I'm frustrated. Has nobody received their VIP packages yet? Im going to the concert on Saturday and this is just crazy. I emailed fanfare or whatever they are called and no reply...
  18. but has anyone gotten the goods yet?
  19. how did you find out you were selected?
  20. Most bands now adays have some sort of sampling going on. It doesn't matter if it's vocals, keys, guitar etc etc. One of the biggest bands in the world U2 has recorded guitar parts and vocals going on. It might be subtle but you want to sound good live. Bottom line, the more you do in the studio, the more you need to sample live to sound as close as the CD. The feedback from the opening guitar line in Stick it Out was sampled back on the Counterparts tour for example, this is nothing new.
  21. any updates on this? ACC show is a few days away...
