Today I saw John Fogerty. He played for 2 hours, no intermission. Great set with a bunch of songs from Centerfield to celebrate its 25th annivesary.

I hope they don't play it again. I'd rather hear stuff from Signals, GUP, etc. -
Yesterday, I got Deep Purple's Machine Head and the Porcupine Tree Anesthize Live DVD.

Over-rated: Working Man: It's a good song, but it isn't the best from their devut album. In The Mood, Need Some Love, Finding My Way etc were much better. Under-rated: Turn The Page: One of HYF's strongest and best song IMO.

Just got back from the Jon Anderson acoustic show. He put on a great show and played guitar, piano, ukelele, and sitar. The opener was Lisa Bouchelle who performed an acoustic set. Overall, a very good show.

QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Aug 24 2010, 04:38 PM) Sorry, Brian Johnson! He drives me nuts!! I'm a Bon guy! I'm the exact opposite...Brian Johnson is far better than Bon was, imo But Highway to Hell is a great album.

http://www.youtube.com/xliberatorx#p/u/35/tAECKBCBJZk I doubt he is a threat to the band. His videos are actually funny. "When I'm thirsty I drink A&W root beer. It's the best beverage for a hot day in the mountains."

I don't like most of their stuff, but they have a few songs that I like. I understand why most hate them though. The band that I don't why everyone hates is Bon Jovi. Their stuff from the early to mid 80's was good imo, now they are pop sell outs.
-
Great band, imo. Dream Police is great.

Pearl Jam is one of the few grunge groups I like. Ten is great in my opinion. I'm not too familiar with their other albums though.

QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Jul 31 2010, 11:24 PM) QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jul 31 2010, 11:05 PM)Got tickets to see Jon Anderson's acoustic show on Aug 29th in Ridgefield, CT, really looking forward to it. Nice! I need to get tickets to his show in Atlanta, like, now. I haven't seen him or Yes, and I don't know whether or not this will be the last time he'll come down here, so there's no way I'm skipping this show. My parents aren't too sure about it, but I offered to buy my ticket and pay for all of the gas costs so we'll see. Hopefully I'll be able to go. I haven't seen him or Yes either. In June, I had a chance to see Yes and Peter Frampton, but it isn't the same without Jon Anderson.

I just started listening to Squeeze. Pulling Mussels (From The Shell) and Black Coffee in Bed are my favorites. I was hoping to see them with Cheap Trick, but they did not stop near me.
