QUOTE (moedrabowsky @ May 17 2010, 10:45 PM) QUOTE (jesse2112 @ May 17 2010, 10:43 PM) I'm not gunna get mad at the rumors about the songs from S&A in the set, at this point its still a rumor Too much perspective. Thank you, kind sir. Even if they are true its Rush and all of Rush's music is good just some is better than the other, so in my eyes its a win-win

You have to be F-n kidding me If so, I'm going to have holler horse apples. Five or six songs from that album? Enough with S&A, guys. Really. Sounds like they are going to make sure they get their money's worth out of the lights and video. That's some disappointing news, right there. Well, let's see... If it's Farcry, Hope, TMMB, MalNar, and one they didn't do last time (preferably We Hold On), I'd have zero problem with this. I paid to see those songs twice on the last tour, and while I liked them I don't want to see S&A Live 2. If this is the Time Machine Tour, then go back farther than 2007 and do more than interchange three or four songs from the regular setlist. JMHO. I agree I don't wanna hear S&A live again
  4. I'm 18 and going im the the biggest Rush fan in my town my dad was gunna take me but not anymore does this count?
  5. I've never seen Rush before I'm from Michigan and they're skipping Detroit so I'm taking a road trip to Columbus

  7. yeah I don't really care about it too much, I know that they're not big on playing this song live and they did give us what we want so we should still be grateful
  8. I hope they keep Digital Man in the set
  9. so they lied to us when they said they'd play Moving Pictures in its entirety
  10. Damn, I was really lopking forward to hearing it in its entirety

QUOTE (mandydog @ May 1 2010, 12:15 PM) QUOTE (jesse2112 @ May 1 2010, 11:52 AM) Well i called tickemaster to get my tickets upgraded and they cancelled the charge of my old ones and gave me seats in lower bowl This is one of those rare cases where Ticketmaster actually is showing some brains and heart. Music Today wouldn't budge an inch. The guy even told me that the presales that they do are rarely the best seats in the house. So he just about admitted to it being a racket. No more Presales for me. I was even stupid enough to buy one of the "exclusive T-shirts" in the presale. I ordered a large. Can't wait for my 3xl to show up with a note saying that they have the right to change my shirt size order and I should be grateful for all the extra material. of course i had to pay the full price for lower bowl but my seats are better

  13. I'm from Detroit too and I'm making the excursion with a few friends to Columbus its actually my 1st Rush show so i am more than willing to make the trip
  14. I tried to get 3 lower bowl seats for the Columbus show as soon as tickets for general public went on sale, they were not available so I settled for upper bowl section 204 row A it cost me 250 for 3 not too bad in my opinion
  15. QUOTE (dakota2112 @ Apr 25 2010, 09:10 PM) You's with tickets to Nationwide Arena at Columbus... just curious, where are your seats? At the presale, I managed to get 3 tickets, Floor 1 (Ged's side), row G (7th row). But they are at the far end of the row, which might not be that great after studying some pictures of a Genesis concert at that venue. Well they're not as good as yours section 204 row A not bad given my budget
  16. I got $72 tickets in section 204 row A which offers a pretty good view , I tried to get the $97 tickets but had no luck, my first show its gunna be awesome
  17. QUOTE (The Rush Kid @ Apr 24 2010, 08:11 PM) QUOTE (jesse2112 @ Apr 24 2010, 03:00 PM) QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Apr 24 2010, 01:20 PM) I can't believe it, I literally clicked the second they went on general sale this morning, and there was NOTHING good available. I even went back 2 or 3 times to see if anything better would pop up, to no avail. So I got terrace seats, WAY in the back but at least I'll be there! Time Machine tour here I come... I got lucky I just got 3 tickets to the show at the Nationwide in Columbus with a pretty good view, its my first Rush show so I consider myself lucky to be 18 and seeing MP being performed entirely for the first time. I think it will be a religous experience what do you mean lucky to be 18? I mean its my first Rush show ever and I never would have expected to see Moving Pictures played in its entirety that hasn't been done since the original MP tour so in essence its really going to be like a time machine for me anyway. my parents wouldn't let me see the S&A tour which actually came to my hometown twice this time around i have to drive 300 miles but atleast I have good seats. and I honestly thought I would be waiting a lot longer than 18 months for another tour
  18. Anthem is the song that helped me discover Ayn Rand's "Anthem" which was an amazing story not to mention the rocking 7/8 intro

  20. QUOTE (mandydog @ Apr 22 2010, 04:44 PM) I am really excited about this tour and the possibilities with this whole "Time Machine" approach. But thinking about some of these older "vault" songs being played slower and in the wrong key kind of bums me out. I was listening to the song "AFTK" earlier and thinking that there is no way Geddy could sing this in the original key. Maybe if it was the last song of the night, because he would wreck his vocal chords trying it earlier. I don't know if I want to see these songs "reworked" or key changed and slowed down. 2112 was great to hear finally played live but I rarely listen to the live cd version because it sounds like "a tortoise from Galapagos or a span of geological time" (Steps down from pedestal) Any way, what do you guys think of the old stuff played in lower keys and slowed down? I don't think Geddy will have to much trouble singing older songs listen Freewill form S&A Live he did a great job hitting the high notes and im pretty sure they were in standard tuning, Circumstances was tuned to Eb and it still sounded pretty good, but I wouldn't worry too much about Ged's vocals they'll be in shape
  21. Force Ten or DEW but its been played on the last few tours so maybe not
