  1. It's a secondary market that's a stronghold for country. It'll be a great show regardless.
  2. A break for vocals! And something not played in 7 years.
  3. They do get a guarantee for each show - that's from the promoter. After a certain threshold they get more.
  4. I will be curious what happens, if anything, to prices after opening night.
  5. I believe it's always "onward and upward" for them, and I don't believe anything will be less profitable or smaller scale if they can help it. This will be on the level of MP or TMT. If anything, they're an arena band at heart. Always have been. This way there's maximization of effects and a return to their glory days.
  6. I always thought it would be cool if Neil came out from behind his kit and waved and bowed with Alex and Geddy.
  7. Yeah, who knows. Not sure if I want to push my luck. Another possibility, although not very likely, is that maybe they'll change a seating configuration or something that could free up some seats.
  8. Do any of you have experience or success waiting 'til the last minute to buy your tickets, either online or at the box office? I ask because I'll be in certain cities on show days but don't have tickets yet. Lucked out once for Cleveland in 2011 by buying tickets the morning of and hightailing it to Cleveland. I was on the side, but very close to the stage.
  9. I'm guessing that you also believe in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus? It's not that hard so, try and stay with me here: After this US tour, Neil will NEVER tour again... EVER. It's no secret that he has hated touring for years and he couldn't be happier that the finish line is finally within sight. If he wants to travel the world with his daughter, I'm more than pretty sure that he can afford to do it without the band & crew. This story has legs, because (If you read Neil's books) he usually goes to the rural Quebec/Ontario cabin every February, all signs point to him being in LA the entire month. I'm a little confused as to what you are saying.
  10. Unless you produce something more definitive than what has been written the last couple of months or credentials showing you’re some inside expert I’ll continue with my current mind set. One can pay to visit Europe or do a working vacation letting it pay for it self. John, has FOH been wrong once yet? Unfortunately all signs point to this May-August run being it.
  11. I'm thinking Spirit or Headlong Flight. It must be really tough to decide... ANTHEM?
  12. Wouldn't it be incredible if they played a night there?
  13. His canon is superb - where does one start?
  14. Wonder if he'll ride between gigs this time.
  15. Who knows. Doesn't seem that likely to me, because I don't think they will play if they can't put "everything" into it. Why take that risk?
  16. I still think Headlong Flight would be perfect. Maybe followed up by Fly By Night.
  17. Headlong Flight just might be the perfect opener given the context of the tour and their career.
  18. It doesn't seem TOO far fetched, but not sure about Carnies finishing the first set.
  19. But no doubt John Good has worked closely with Neil for years, and Neil mentions him often when discussing his drums. If it wasn't true, there wouldn't be anything to plug. Here's the catch: obstensibly none of us know the details of the "other" kit.
  20. Curiosity is a good thing for business. No curiosity means less sales.
  21. One thing that might be telling: how will Geddy say goodnight to the audience this tour?
