  1. These clips are fantastic! I love Friedman & Gilbert! The Japanese show is great fun. Thanks for sharing, great stuff.
  2. If you twisted my arm & I had to pick just one...."Bomber".
  3. Love Manowar. I've been listening to their latest "Lord Of Steel" all last week on my commute. Very strong album. Great band.
  4. The first 2 albums were classics. They made some very good music after those two though, with both frontmen. Good band.
  5. Took my mum to the cinema to see Les Miserables. Nice day out.
  6. They wrote so many perfect songs. It's a formidable back catalogue that would shame most other bands. I always had a soft spot for "What's The Name Of The Game?" and especially "Eagle".
  7. "United Abominations" is an underrated album too. When they were on the Priest Feast tour they played a few off that record. Really strong set of songs.
  8. ABBA is one of the best pop bands ever. They can keep company with any other artist(s), and actually outstrip most. Performance, arrangements, compositions, they could do it all. Brilliant.
  9. I totally have to disagree with you about Cryptic. Its one of their better albums, IMO. They had already been catering to the more commercial on the previous two albums, Cryptic is just more aggressive, but great songs all the same. Yes, I think it's just me that isn't really into "CW". Most fans seem to really admire it. I much prefer "The System Has Failed" & "The World Needs A Hero" myself, so I suppose I am in the minority there.
  10. King Diamond is fantastic. The Roadrunner box is a steal if you haven't already got the albums. About £15 for 5 KD classics. He is headlining Bloodstock this year. I may well have to go to that, even though the rest of the bill is rubbish.
  11. A really strong album imo. Chock full of great tunes, some of the best lyrics Bowie's ever come up with & the band are on tip-top form. Gail Ann Dorsey's bass playing is terrific. Bowie has done a great job on this record.
  12. That is a great record. I wonder if you can get it on cd at a reasonable price? I'll have to look. I had it on cassette years ago & wore it out learning "She's Into Something" on guitar.
  13. One of my favourite bands. I've seen them quite a few times over the years & always really enjoyed it. They only ever made one absolute dog of a record (the atrocious "Risk") & one average one ("Cryptic Writings"). Other than that I feel they've had a consistently good career. Their songs are great fun to learn to play too. I like them.
  14. "Bad Influence" is one of my favourite blues albums of all time. Every song is a classic. "False Accusations" is a great record too. I've seen him once years ago & he was very good. He's one of those musicians who has just been of a consistently high standard throughout his career.
