  1. I have to agree. I wear the simple squishy ones and they work fine. Rush does play loud. I have seen the who and the Metallica and Rush is not far behind them. I agree. As I near 40, I will be protecting my already damaged ears.
  2. Saratoga, Mansfield, and my home town of Syracuse!!!! What a great summer/fall this will be!
  3. I went through Rush and got great seats but I paid through the teeth for them. This time around, I'm going for the lawn. During these economic times I can't see throwing down Big Money for inside...that is if they play SPAC this year.
  4. It's Rush...whatever the news, it will be good for me. I am excited.
  5. Losing it, Afterimage, Emotion Detector, Open Secrets, and...That's enough for now. Please no more Dreamline or Red Sector A
  6. LVS is the one that is most emotional in my opinion. YYZ is fantastic as is Overture and Cygnus. The later instrumentals do not seem to hold up as well as these. You could lay vocals on them. LVS and YYZ would be more difficult to add vocals to.
  7. Never liked this album or the concept. Please no feedback two unless they do a yes song
  8. Wow! the first time I voted with the majority. This was my first album as an out of college unemployed adult.
  9. I know. Not the best era for me. I like the feel of this song and I am burned out on the concert staples.
  10. This was the song I always wanted to hear them pull out live.
  11. Lyrics and the chorus. Takes me back to junior high.
  12. BTW is a second, but Afterimage hit me after I saw the video back in high school. Still love that song.
  13. My first Rush album. All the songs are classic but the line "the bell tolls..." just did it for me. At 12 I would have picked NWM, but that was 27 years ago.
  14. In the minority again. I chose this for two reasons. The bass solos at the end and the fact that it is my son's favorite Rush song. He is 10! When they played this on the last tour we were in the 12th row at SPAC. He had a look of pure enchantment when Geddy Lee came out. It was a special moment for me.
  15. I voted for Spirit because I spent hours learning the bass line as a kid. A few years ago I would have picked NS, but it lost it's magic for me after hearing it on the last few tours. JL is wonderful too. Every song on this album is fantastic. I used to play the solo to FW in high school over and over till I drove people nuts. Wish I still had that Ricky bass.
  16. This was tough because this entire album kicks ass. It is my number 2 right behind Caress. I love side one. The trees is magic. LVS? one of the best ever. But...The bass line and the vocals are so contrary to the bass line, but he pulled it off live. That was amazing. I can't get enough of this song!
  17. Again, Ged's vocals. The bass riff is killer and I used to play it nonstop on my Rickenbacker through my Fender bassman amp. Just a killer song. When they pulled this out a few years back, I almost cried.
  18. My favorite Rush album by far due to the Necromancer and Fountain. I listen to it quite often. I realize I am in the minority, but ever since the late 80s I cannot get enough of this album. My friends think I am nuts and most of you probably do as well but this is ok. I listened to it tonight on vinyl.
  19. Not my favorite Rush album by far, but this is my favorite song. The blues that seeps from Alex's guitar is wonderful. Some fantastic growl from Ged as well.
