  1. That was sarcasmic. Do you not like the album then Gomps? It is not metal. It is virtually pop though. I like some material, not all. I like it more with each listen. I pretty much like the whole album now. In all fairness, I have only listened twice. Well you probably need a few more listens than that. It's been out for about 3 or 4 months, been busy? Yes. Listening to other music that moves me more...like PT. :musicnote: :D He's never going to reform that band. Ever. It's in the past. I am aware. Too bad. Gavin was the bomb. I think Wilson thought Gavin was getting a little bit too much attention so he sent him on his way. Well, he joined King Crimson for an anniversary tour in 2008 and then permanently in 2013 so we should say that it was Robert Fripp who took Gavin from the SW camp.
  2. Well, you’ll just need to get the CD or vinyl then cause Elizabeth (and Secular Haze) is exclusive to the physical version.
  3. OK Not, I love shitting on Shallow, but honestly the main riff and the chorus riff slays as generic sounding as it is.
  4. What's the party look like? I think it's just a "regular" album release show cause there's two support acts plus his label's "head nurse" DJing betweens sets but for some reason the poster used the word "party" instead of "show".
  5. Prurient album release “party” Tuesday night. I specifically asked the day off last minute just for it...and my request for the day off got OK’d by the higher ups.
  6. Yeah go for it This was said in jest. Had I been serious, I would've commented on his About Americans (Reality Time Edition) video saying how Americanization has failed to break ground in Asian countries such as Japan cause the population is 98% homogeneous, in North Korea for obvious reasons, China cause of Mr. Chynna/Shiana/Gina, and etc.
  7. I sat through all 3 hours and 20 minutes of the new Prurient album...and it's still better than To The Boner.
  8. Should I write a comment in the comments section of Varg's newest video?
  9. I would be the guilty party. http://youtu.be/1nVkqyDxros Specifically, I saw Nothing play a collab set w/Jesu (which I haven’t shared in a MK night yet) and Prurient (which I have shared before) as part of an all day/night 20th anniversary celebration of the latter’s label. I think it’d be nice to see Nothing own their own, at some point.
  10. I've overlooked the fact that either Not or Sean has played/mentioned Nothing in the past when in reality, I've actually seen them live in some capacity.
  11. On the topic of “radio friendly” I think Stars Die would fit the category also as according to SW himself, it was the first PT song to have likely been played on the radio. However, my favorite arrangement of it is actually the stripped down acoustic version off We Lost The Skyline, not the studio recording.
  12. Trains isn’t radio friendly? That’s their most famous song if they had any so I’m a bit puzzled why it was excluded. For the record, I went with Stranger By The Minute. After that, it’s Lazarus and Waiting for me.
  13. I'm seeing Prurient's album release show next Tuesday (12/5). After that it's Dillinger Escape Plan's final show to end the year on the 29th (of December). As for 2018, for now it's just Steven Wilson on April 28 (I'm still thinking about going the next night as well). I'm interested in seeing Bloodbath but that's a toss-up. I'm might even cut back on the current number of shows I go see by a 1/3rd or 1/4th of of what it's been for the past two years and just focus only on bands I haven't seen live yet and/or bands I've already seen but would go see every time no questions asked.
  14. Well...my first impression of Presto was...I thought The Pass and Show Don’t Tell were stronger tracks than almost all of the album that came after it. These days, I like most of the album (most notably the title track, War Paint, Scars, and Available Light) but it’s still in the bottom 9 albums for me.
  15. You know what, I’m moving my unsure vote into the “Yes” column (I leaned more toward yes anyway) cause when push comes to shove, it rips, it’s a kickass song, and more importantly it’s arguably their most metal song if I had to pick one (more heavier than Counterparts or CA in hindsight) but I won’t back down on my stance that heaviness doesn’t necessarily have to mean a song/band/album/etc. is metal.
  16. Sure. Bands like Paradise Lost and Katatonia get heavy rotation in the autumn. Alcest weirdly enough gets the most plays in the late autumn and winter even though they scream summery sounding music to me. I find that a lot of industrial music is fitting for me in the winter...IDK why that is but based on my listening trends in the past 2 years, I indulge in the works of Dominick Fernow (Prurient, Vatican Shadow, Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement) and Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu, JK Flesh) the most during the winter season. Currently, I haven’t been listening to much rock/metal at all lately. That comes and goes regardless of the season when I’m in the mood for it. There’s a lot more bands that are seasonal for me but the bands I’ve mentioned are good examples IMO.
  17. For me personally, if that happened to be the tour setlist, I wouldn’t mind it actually. The caveat being that I’ve never heard most of those newer songs live (i.e. the songs off AMOLAD) and a few of the older songs yet. Where Eagles Dare and Losfer Words? I’d definitely would love to see them play those two live. Of course, Bruce shut down all hopes of Empire Of The Clouds live but I’d hope they’d sneak in a song off Dance Of Death and/or another song from Brave New World in its place but maybe I’m just being too hopeful there.
  18. King Crimson and Yes are completely different bands. Indeed, and personally Crimson is more in my cup of coffee. I like a few Yes albums and Close To The Edge is one of my favorite prog albums, but they never left that big of an impact on me as Crimson did.
  19. For some reason, I thought you've been here for much longer than 5 years.
  20. I'm proof that not even trve cvlt Filipinos would accept the transracial as such.
  21. I finally watched this cause I wanted to know WTF this is. I’ve never wanted to Kyo myself more in my life. Accept me for what I am not! Praise me for my delusions! (Or elss ur a bigot) I'M A !

  23. Me of Asian roots being a follower of Varg’s YT channel is an oxymoron.
