I did post this somewhere else on this forum back in December, but seeing as a tour is upon us, I thought I'd post it again. As you are all probably aware, attending concerts may lead to hearing loss. Well, back in December, I went to see a specialist about my ears. For about 3 years (since I have been attending gigs) I have had a deteriorating ear problem. When I finally got to see the specialist, I had hearing tests and examinations. I have a 30% loss in hearing in my left ear, and a 40% loss in my right ear. This is as a result of "Acoustic trauma" basically, going to concerts without the appropriate ear defences. I strongly recommend that people buy some good "music safe" ear plugs to wear to concerts. They don't get rid of the sound at all; they just bring down the volume slightly. My hearing loss is permanent and now I have to live with it for the rest of my life. Please don't let this happen to you, I am absolutely gutted as it will probably mean in a few years, I won't be able to go to concerts at all. Not to mention the fact that I am now partially deaf. Please don't learn the hard way. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, at time it is incredibly painful. Please be careful people. Please be careful people.

Who is planning on flying to the US or Canada to see Rush? What shows? I am, and I'm planning on attending the Toronto and Seattle dates. I'm also HOPING to go to the Uncasville date, but I have to see on that one.

I hope to the sun in the sky that they play Far Cry!
