  8. QUOTE (driventotheedge @ Jan 10 2012, 02:48 PM) QUOTE (yaoi_myantidrug @ Jan 10 2012, 12:55 PM) QUOTE (hannuFIN @ Jan 10 2012, 10:35 AM) what a joke by NothingMusicalExist. There's a big difference with riffs and solos. Where's for example Limelight solo by Lifeson ? For me maybe the most emotional solo is courtesy by David Gilmour on "Comfortably Numb" which he performed 15th of July 1989 in Piazza San Marco, Venezia ITA, in front of 250000 spectators. That's the most emotional for me, which I say always first if someone asking. Che spettacolo ! David knew the history and place where he was playing..a total astounding beauty. The mother of all guitar solos in my opinion. Is there possibly video of this? Ask and ye shall receive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGdt4Z1loBc Thank you! I'm gonna forever consider that concert to be my first birthday present from now on, since that exact date is my birthday.

  10. This all sounds very interesting, but no one has so far been able to explain to me the actual relationship between light, space, and time. I just get blank stares whenever I ask. Or a mention of 'well, the math shows it'. Ok, Ptolemy's math showed that retrograde motion was planets actually moving towards earth, then slowing down and eventually moving away from earth. Today, we can use his formulas to calculate where a planet will appear in the sky at a certain time. So is Ptolemy's hypothesis correct, and we actually live in a geocentric system?
  11. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Dec 15 2011, 05:19 PM) I shall share some more of the lovely Mr. Brody. (Yes, I know that I'm posting pics of the same guy. I hope you don't mind. ) http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/adrien_brody_03.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/os9fA2p5kq68hn71QDgwOaN6o1_400.jpg http://i1031.photobucket.com/albums/y371/Priestess-of-Syrinx/adrien_brody_2009_03.jpg We very much don't mind. Especially when it's someone so pretty.
  12. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Dec 14 2011, 06:50 PM) I've been watching "Live in Pompeii" again. Lordy. http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lk0hainNX01qa4ccvo1_500.jpg Awww...don't bite your lip, Dave... (Let me do that for you...) Disclaimers: 1. This picture may or may not be FROM the Pompeii DVD, it matters not to me. 2. Yes, I KNOW this picture was probably taken the year I was born. Also not of consequence in this situation. Ugh. Words fail me.....

  14. QUOTE (An Enemy Without @ Nov 26 2011, 10:28 PM) QUOTE (yaoi_myantidrug @ Nov 26 2011, 11:37 PM) QUOTE (danielmclark @ Nov 26 2011, 09:00 AM) I'm not sure what being a transgendered cross-dresser has to do with the story either. It would be out of place to say, "Mr. Morris is also black", because it's irrelevant. Same thing. On a side note, if Morris is a transgendered cross-dresser, does that mean she was born a male, became a female and now dresses as a male? Or that she was born a male, became a female, dresses like a female and the reporter is just an idiot? Those two descriptors together are confusing. As a trans-guy, I have to go with 'reporter is an idiot.' Cross-dressing implies something that is not done 24-7. Transgendered is a vague term that basically means the person currently lives as, or intends to in the future, the opposite of the sex they were assigned at birth. And just to clarify one other thing:the term transgendered doesn't only apply to people who have had all the available surgeries. Lots of trans people feel the surgery isn't necessary for them, or, often, they can't afford it. What is important is that they identify themselves as trans. So that's your Trans 101 for the day. I don't think anyone on here was deliberately misusing terms, I just feel obliged to educate people when the topic arises So when you say you're a trans-guy does that mean you were born female? Or do I have that wrong? Nope, you got it right.

  16. Stupid reporters who don't realize a trans-woman is not a man.
  17. Ok can someone link me to a place where I can download Desktop Ponies? I clicked what I thought was a download link on EQD, but it just led me to page after page of "click here to download"
  18. Just the ones I can think of for now.... -People in front of me who get on the freeway at 45 MPH -People who don't merge before their lane ends, but instead hug the line as it's connecting with my lane. -snowbirds -tailgaters who don't go around me even after I slow down -anyone who doesn't turn right on red. the only places it's not allowed out here is on certain off-ramps.
  19. I'm guessing most of the viewers saw it on The Soup
