  1. QUOTE (Atomic @ Aug 3 2011, 12:47 PM) Hemispheres Permanent Waves Moving Pictures End of thread. +2
  2. Here's the list: 10 - Randy Bachman 9 - Devin Townsend 8 - Frank Marino 7 - Jeff Healey 6 - Rik Emmitt 5 - Robbie Roberston 4 - Bruce Cockburn 3 - Joni Mitchell 2 - Neil Young 1 - Alex Lifeson Some pretty good talent.
  3. When I pick up my 8 year old daughter, as she puts it, "You can listen to nothing but Rush while I'm in the car Daddy". So I get my share of Rush these days! What's funny, is that whenever an instrumental or (especially) Neil's drum solo comes on, I hear from the back seat, BORING!!!
  4. This isn't completed yet, or to better put it, it needs updating. I had it up in 2003 originally. If you have any questions, just let me know. http://www.torontotourguide.net
  5. Didn't see anything posted here about it. Forgive me if there is. From http://www.metallica.com Thirty years of Metallica... can you believe it? We think it's cause for a major celebration! You've been asking for a while now "just what the hell are you going to do to mark 30 years as a band?" closely followed by "why don't we have more exclusive shows for Fan Club members?" We've heard you loud and clear and are beyond psyched to announce that the week of December 5, 2011 will be a full on Metallica week in the Bay Area, more specifically we will be playing four shows for Met Club members only at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco on December 5, 7, 9, and 10 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. These unique shows will include special guests and events, rare songs, varied set lists, odds and ends, and all the nutty stuff you expect from Metallica... fun for the entire family! Come to the Bay Area and spend the week with us to not only close out 2011 out with a bang, but to celebrate over three decades worth of craziness. Participate in the entire week of festivities with special four pack tickets (one ticket for each of the four shows) and automatic entry into the contests for various other special events, available for the clever price of $19.81 (get it??). If you can't join us for the full week, we'll have individual show tickets too and as you can see we're going back to early '80's ticket pricing (but not the hair!)... single show tickets will be just $6.00 each. Both four packs and individual show tickets will be available for Fan Club members only through a reservation system and we do have to add facility fees, blah, blah. Clubbers can log in for all the details... we're taking reservations through August 8. Hope to see you for a week of madness in December!
  6. I remember Alex saying in the radio interviews for Different Stages, that "it seemed like a good idea at the time", so as nice as it sounds, I wouldn't bank on seeing 2112 on the next tour. Now playing The Camera Eye again, especially for those who missed it during the TM Legs, that would be awesome!
  7. Penguins don't come from next door, they come from the Antarctic!
  8. Turn signals. That is all.
  9. I don't know about bathroom breaks, but during the TM Tour, I was standing in a ungodly long line for a beer. When Tom Sawyer came on, nearly all of the people standing in line started running for their seats. I quickly had my beer.

  12. QUOTE (Tony R @ Jun 7 2011, 02:12 PM) And what's wrong with the Brits? Please be aware that that letter is actually from Draco's Russian bride's mother. His Russian bride is called Igor. He couldn't get a permit for a Thai ladyboy. Even in California. I went Dutch
  13. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jun 7 2011, 01:51 PM) QUOTE (Draco @ Jun 7 2011, 04:48 PM) As the admin of CP, let me say that Nate, I'll probably delete your account by accident due to the 75 or so spammers that sign up daily. I will say this. CP is a rough place. Some love it, some don't. You'll need a thick skin for all things British. Blimey! We went through the Attack Of The Spambots last month, and a few months before that. I can't think of a better way to spend the day! Oh yeah. Just cleared out about 80. I even signed up for Invision's new spam service. They don't stop the spam bots from registering, but it does a decent job in stopping actual spam posts. Mr. Wonderful here accidentally approved 10 spammers, and a Russian Dude got through and posted about Russian Prostitutes, in Russian even. Thankfully, none others got through to post.

  15. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Sep 1 2010, 10:48 AM)I think we're seeing people who don't know each other very well in real life passing judgment each other as if they did. Not really fair, is it? Thanks for saying what I tried to type about 15 times! 1-0-0-1 EDIT: I edited my post for clarity after you quoted me, so I fixed this one, too.
  16. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Sep 1 2010, 10:32 AM) QUOTE (JackRelax @ Sep 1 2010, 01:19 PM) FWIW... I would rather see RushGirl up front rocking her butt off because she is a true hard core fan. VS the 15 or so "contest winners" or "my dad is the lawyer for the venue" types who get front row and have no idea who the band is, and are just texting and getting beer during the whole show, not knowing a single song. I'm sure the band enjoys seeing super huge fans enjoying them selves up front as well. My $.02. VS is hardly a contest winner. He is a hard core fan who works hard for the money he shells out for front row. And I highly doubt the band would support a free for all to the front row nor woudl I imagine they would support the act of walking down and taking a seat that you didn't pay for and didn't have permission to sit in. It is being played out like Rushgirl does this all the time. She did admit to doing it twice, but for brief moments where a person next to her would not have a horrible experience because of it. (That is how it is sounding). Yet even including these shows where she went up front, she works her a$$ off to make the money, to buy VIP packages for the show's she attends. That is honest, good old fashioned effort on her part to enjoy Rush.
  17. Rushgirl is a great human being!!! She is honest, and lives life to the fullest.
  18. QUOTE (dreamline3 @ Apr 29 2010, 05:12 PM) QUOTE (Trace @ Apr 29 2010, 03:33 PM)QUOTE (Patty @ Apr 29 2010, 03:23 PM) QUOTE (peoplecanteatmachinefood @ Apr 29 2010, 12:20 PM) The auctions really are ridiculous, but I refuse to pay above face value for good tickets. I'll just go to the venue on the day of the show and try to upgrade. I actually have had very good luck doing that in the past! Several times I ended up in the first couple of rows when buying a ticket just hours before the show. oh bless, so glad for you - going to post your 21 tickets love? You can ignore me, but I wont go away as long as you are dissing my friends! It stops now Patty, lets not have a repeat of CP - oh and good luck with the house move, I hope the leather looks great in your place Uh..calling people "love" or "dear" definitely doesn't make you better and no one called Bev "rich". I believe it was her who actually said that word. And also, no one questioned how she got her money for tours. Nobodys Hero heard Bev was "loaded" in 2007 and hasn't said anything all this time shows there was no malicious intent! Anybody can be provoked and as much as it happened to Bev it also happened to NH. But I think it should end. That's all. This isn't my battle, but I will defend my friend Trace when you say calling people Dear doesn't make her any better. Trace is a gem, and with Trace being from England (Did you know this dreamline?), calling someone Dear is a part of her everyday vocab. So I ask you not to bring down a person's entire culture because it doesn't jive with what you may feel.
  19. Red Rocks pictures are back! Where's the rest of the 2,500,000 pictures that were taken?
