I thought there would be a “farewell” album with no tour until I saw the Time Stand Still documentary. I think they made it clear in that film that Rush was over. The latest comments by Alex backs that up. It feels strange not looking forward to the next Rush album. Something I have done since 1974.

No band is perfect. I told Tobias right to his face one fateful night in Reno in 2015 that he and his band were now my new RUSH since Rush retired that same year. Love the Sansui G-9000. I use one of those as my “daily driver” receiver. Bought it new in 1979. Listen to it literally every day. Still haven’t heard anything that sounds better. Sells used on eBay now for about two and a half times what I paid for it new. I use it to drive a set of Definitive Technology BP-8080ST speakers. Can’t turn it up past 3. Unbelievable sound.

No. Their “masterpieces” came later in their career. 2112 did give them the popularity and the opportunity to be able to create their “masterpieces” though.

That’s a hard one. At one point or another, I’ve obsessed with every single release. I would play every new record like it was the only one I had for a very long time. So I guess my answer would be “all of them”.
