  2. Dreamline instead of Manhattan Project? Bummer. Inclusion of The Pass and Middletown Dreams? Awesome. Looks like I have justification to see multiple shows!
  3. QUOTE (Chief2112 @ Sep 8 2012, 12:02 AM) Promise I'm not a troll. I had a login on here before but it's been awhile. I have it on very good authority that there is a B setlist. It's been seen. I personally haven't been told exactly what songs will be switched out but here are the songs that will be played on the B list that are different from tonight's list. "The Pass," "Middletown Dreams," "Dreamline," "Seven Cities of Gold," and "2112" for the encore. Seems pretty legit based on tonight's list. I know the person who saw the list and gave me this info and I 100% trust them. Guess we'll find out soon enough. The Pass for Bravado and Dreamline for Far Cry hopefully. Don't want to see the others go. Seven Cities for WTW? I dunno, I'll believe it when I see it.

QUOTE On a Friday night. Fellow Rush fans, we are awesome. Nah - we just don't have lives... Lol Drinking alone, watching Rush DVD's, and following a guy on Twitter who is updating us as the setlist unfolds... I fail to see how this isn't a life

  7. QUOTE (sitboaf @ Sep 7 2012, 09:51 PM) Their sound wasn't terribly prominent, except on some of the newer songs. Those who feared that Rush was going to shoehorn strings into classic songs can rest easy. That was my biggest fear going into tonight. I think I read somewhere on TRF that TSoR was going to have strings, and I was reeeeeeally skeptical. But I'm very relieved by the reports of tonight!
  8. On one of the S&A tour shows, there was a gorgeous girl about my age right next to me. That was a one-time surprise. I'd be curious to see a survey taken asking those women if they were there for themselves or out of obligation to a husband/boyfriend.
  9. QUOTE (Snaked @ Sep 7 2012, 10:22 PM) Sitting in the business center at my hotel. I just skimmed through this thread.. I'm very glad my twitter feed was enjoyed by all tonight. My original plan was to use the twitter feed for photos and the "occasional" spoiler... but VZW service inside the Verizon Wireless Arena made it impossible for me to upload photos so I decided just to post the songs in real time. I know my tweets werent the most descriptive, but I tried to give a feel for what was happening without taking away too much time from my own enjoyment of the show. One important note, it has been confirmed that there is a "B" setlist. I dont know for a fact that it will alternate show by show.. but the "B" setlist exists. We shall see. MANY thanks, kind Snaked. This made for not only a fun night, but also saved me the money of going to the bar! Curious to see what the B setlist is... my guess will be BU2B or SCoG swapped with WTW and maybe a swap for Grand Designs or Manhattan Project. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't swap Territories out, guys!

I am not a fan of PW but it is a interesting and different setlist. PW songs will sound better live Manhattan Project is my fav. off PW so least I get that. Surprised to see Wheres My Thing in there great instrumental And please keep Limelight off the encore Please don't listen to this guy. Limelight is RUSH. Please don't listen to this guy. Dog Years is RUSH. Dont listen to this guy Rivendell is Rush Don't listen to this guy, Amarillo By Morning is Rush
  11. QUOTE (DBJetsman @ Sep 7 2012, 10:11 PM) That's the most bulls*** setlist I've ever seen. 4 songs from PoW (ONE OF THERE WORST ALBUMS EVER) and not even the best one (Marathon)? 2 songs from Signals and Moving Pictures: REALLY??? They are complete dumbasses and will never ever be the greatest band ever... I would have given this 1/10 for making me post, but you used "there" instead of "their." 0/10 GTFO

  13. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Sep 7 2012, 09:25 PM) Big Money Force 10 Grand designs Body Electric Bravado For me (I'm old and have seen them since MP tour) these are uninspiring choices. Bravado especially.. Ive read how Neil loves the song in his book(s).. but really.. its been *so* played. I applaud the attention to the 80s, but these 5 I would have replaced with other choices. Of course there's no accounting for taste, and others may love these songs, or never heard them live... I've never heard Grand Designs or The Body Electric, so I'm excited for both. But I'd agree with you and trade them for some more diversity in the set. And for me, better Bravado than Dreamline
  14. QUOTE (av450 @ Sep 7 2012, 09:24 PM) QUOTE (koobie @ Sep 7 2012, 10:17 PM) What the hell is crossed out in the encore in the setlist seen in the photo of Ged's keyboards that the Rush Backstage Club Tweeted? Photo It's The necromance/the fountain of lamneth/jacobs ladder. Tony R confirmed it Tony R also promised me a hooker, but she isn't here yet. That guy betrayed me. (Kidding Tony! )
  15. QUOTE (koobie @ Sep 7 2012, 09:17 PM) What the hell is crossed out in the encore in the setlist seen in the photo of Ged's keyboards that the Rush Backstage Club Tweeted? Photo Looks like it says Limelight to me.
  16. QUOTE (exiled yorkie @ Sep 7 2012, 09:14 PM) It will be a great show as always but come on boys, take a risk once in a while. Implying that this setlist isn't as risky as getting a blowjob from a rattlesnake? They play what they want to play, and why is that a sin? Not catering to every whim of people who aren't familiar with their catalog beyond the radio hits, that's f*ckin awesome.
  17. QUOTE (ShowgunSam @ Sep 7 2012, 09:05 PM) Good God, would you all just drop it already with the whole "Losing It" fiasco? I mean, could you have gotten your hopes up for a more random song? Strings or not, it's not even that great of a track. When else would we hear it? And maybe we DO think it's a great song. So instead of being a dickhead about us being disappointed over a missed opportunity, kindly go f**k yourself with a cactus.
  18. First 20 songs- 8.5/10 Next 3 songs- 4/1o... Heard em too many times Closing with TSoR- 9/10 because I can never hear it enough Would've enjoyed seeing a little more variety, but the tracks they pulled are so f***ing awesome, it's worth it!
  19. If they rehearsed the whole album and planned to swap out songs, I wonder if SCoG or BU2B will be swapped with WTW on alternating nights Also, Manhattan Project. I am taking at least 3 pairs of pants.
  20. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Sep 7 2012, 07:38 PM) This is truly a set list for the diehard fans. The people who are going just for the hits are gonna be pissed f**k em. This set is amazing!!!!
  21. QUOTE (dethroned emperor @ Sep 7 2012, 07:23 PM) they skip the best song from ca(bu2b)but play the worst(anarchist)figures Do you just say shit like that to try to be different?
  22. QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Sep 7 2012, 07:13 PM) pretty bad selections in there and the first thing that came to mind when i saw the first set was i wouldn't mind missing the first set. yeah, you don't like it. more room for those of us who dig the mullet-era!
