  1. .... there's no pleasing some people.....
  2. This is indeed a much better thread. Enjoy the tour.. it's awesome.
  3. Actually... Rush are likely not the ones that determine the ticket prices. It's the tour promoter that will do that. The promoter will guarantee a fee to Rush for the show or tour. The tour promoter in the US is LiveNation. It's then up to the promoter to set the price they feel the market will bare. If the show doesn't sell out, Rush still gets their fee. That's why the US tour dates had such a wide range of prices across the country.
  4. QUOTE (phantomfears @ Nov 23 2010, 11:05 AM) QUOTE (irish_matt @ Nov 23 2010, 04:01 PM) I hear the set list sucks.... nobody should go see this tour... save your money.... The set list sucks??? Have you seen what they are playing? If you like classic Rush including music from that time this has to be the best set list in ages. Fair enough the 30th Anniversary tour set list was fabulous too but this set seriously rocks!!! ..... sarcasm is lost on the internet. Every second of this show was amazing. Saw it in St.Louis in August.

  6. For all the whining about ticket prices... the UK ones are still cheaper than most of the US dates from this year. Floor to front row in St.Louis was 95 quid. I paid 70 quid for seats about 10 rows behind the mixing desk. -Matt

Belfast next year by the sounds if it! Jesus H. Rush on the island of Ireland. Will be glued to Radio Nova in the morning, I hope RIAB's source is a good one. Rush will do great in Belfast and should sell out the Odyssey. Back in the early 80's I was one of many hundreds of fans from Belfast alone, to make the trip to England to see them. Neil will enjoy a side trip to visit Bushmills, the oldest licensed Whiskey in the world... 1608. The 21yr single malt is exceptional. Also, Dunluce Castle and the Giants Causeway used for the Zeppelin album cover for Houses of The Holy. The 21 is heaven. The 400 anniversary 1608 is TO DIE FOR! Exciting times. I have to agree... the 1608 anniversary is quite something... glad I have two bottles left in my collection. The 12yr Distillery only isn't too shabby either.

  9. hopefully this will be the time our oft neglected Atlantic Canada Rush fans get their turn. The lost out to scheduling on the S&A tour once again.
  10. whatever the show was that was the epic failure... the tech gave Alex a cord for the guitar, bypassing the wireless and it still din't work. However, it does seem to have something to do with the pyro. I would think a backup amp with DI to the house system would be easy with a bypass from the effects rack. you know, if Neil breaks a snare head, he gets a new snare.
  11. $95 x3, Row DD center. St.Louis, Verizon ampi. Awesome show...
  12. there was a post on another thread, maybe from a meet and greet or a backstage thing, that a roadie said they had been doing some filming but would be doing a lot more once they got to South America.
  13. anyone consider the fact that they moved their Argentinian date to a larger venue may have also been to accommodate it being filmed?
  14. I think they just shelved it for this tour as it didn't fit the flow of the setlist.
  15. again... he has an inner ear infection and can't wear the regular ones. plus... he does not use a click track and hasn't in quite a few years. He rehearses longer than the rest of the guys to set the tempos before a tour and he adjusts to the vocal/keyboard/guitar samples as necessary. Matt
  16. it is terrible to get out of... however, I watched where the VIP parking was letting out, found an opening in the railing and was out on the expressway within 10 minutes. I wish Rush would play the Scottrade Center instead.
  17. Working Man was kick ass... what a way to end the show. Alex was on fire. And no pigeons shitting on anyone.. go figure... they would have been roasted by the pyro anyway.
  18. He had the headphones on again for St.Louis.
  19. I would go with the ear infection idea. Any technical problems would have been resolved prior to the Wichita show and he was wearing them (as seen in pics over on RUSH.com).
