I found out that a friend of mine slammed her head "against a brick wall and forgot some things and people". Kind of freaked me out, so I'm going with some friends to see her tomorrow. Otherwise, she's okay... I hope.

What game(s) are you playing through right now?
Xanadu93 replied to deadwing2112's topic in Reverse Polarity
Since I have the next week off, I'm probably going to do a play-through of Ratchet: Deadlocked from scratch. Sure, I've beaten the game a ridiculous amount of times, but I haven't touched the game in forever, and besides, I did a play-through from scratch of the first three games. I just forgot about this one. -
QUOTE (softfilter @ Nov 20 2010, 10:32 AM)This will be the second and (hopefully)LAST time I will need to say this but..... GO BLUE BEAT WISCONSIN!!! Cheered for Michigan when they played and beat Florida in a bowl game few years back... You're much more gracious than I. There's no way in hell that I could root for Georgia's biggest rival, the Florida Gators.

QUOTE (*Limelight* @ Nov 14 2010, 01:01 PM)And if Auburn loses against Bama (IF) and they win against SC in the SEC title game... Does a 1 loss Auburn trump Boise and TCU? What do you think will happen to Auburn if they beat Alabama but lose to South Carolina?

So, um, tomorrow I turn seventeen so I realized that my two "lasts" as a sixteen year old were as follows. They're not what I listen to all the time, though I do listen to them every so often. Last artist, album, and song: Depeche Mode - Violator - "Clean" Excellent album, if I might say so. Goodbye, sixteen, and hello seventeen. Hope you're even more awesome than the previous year was.

I got to listen to the new My Chemical Romance album six days early, and though it's not what I expected, it brought me so much joy to realize that this band has changed so much. It seems like a different band, and that's in a great way. Also, I realized that I'm four days away from my birthday party (misleading word though, imo, since I don't really party ), and I can't wait to hang out with my friends. Hopefully I'll get a "different" birthday present.

QUOTE (vital signz @ Nov 15 2010, 01:52 PM) I have a funny story... I was in the Chicago Cheesecake Factory a number of years ago, and was sitting at the bar there with a friend. I was looking at the back of this blonde who was sitting next to another girl that couldn't have been more than 21 years old...I was admiring the girls as they were beautiful. The first girl had the most beautiful hair of any girl in the bar. She turned around to look in my direction and I was like WHOA!....You're not a girl! You are Robin Zander! Oh shi-

TBH, I'm becoming less and less of a fan of their stuff pre-The Black Parade, and more and more a fan of that record and the material from the new record that I've heard. And don't worry, if you don't like the songs, I won't rage. The fact that you've already given them an open listen is cool, but it's just that I honestly think the material they're getting ready to put out is miles better than anything they've put out, and that's why I might seem a bit more fanatical this go-around than I was a year or so ago.

THE OFFICIAL 2010 OAKLAND RAIDERS THREAD!
Xanadu93 replied to RUSHHEAD666's topic in One Little Victory
QUOTE (treeduck @ Nov 15 2010, 04:05 AM)QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Nov 15 2010, 03:45 AM) I have to gloat now before it's too late. THE RAIDERS ARE IN FIRST PLACE AND THEY HAD A BYE WEEK!!! The fukking Steelers looked like shit tonight! I can only hope the Raiders can "beat the bastards" down next week! Hey that's a new ACCEPT SONG! GO RAIDERS! I hope they beat the Falcons in a few weeks though! And even if they do, we'll just thump y'all in our Dome like we did at the Superdome. -
My controls -> Options -> Board settings Once there, just turn DST off.

Though Georgia lost, South Carolina beat Florida to win their first SEC East title and, as a result, their first trip to the SEC title game. Also, Georgia Southern won, which is always great. And finally (perhaps most importantly), I discovered why last.fm would not scrobble my iPod and iTunes library, and then found a way to let last.fm still scrobble my iPod until (hopefully) they get a plugin for iTunes and iPod.

QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Nov 13 2010, 09:14 PM) Dio - Holy Diver Radiohead - The Bends I think I'm obsessed with buying music. I need a life. Young grasshoppper, music IS life! (at least, that's how it is for me... )

^^ seconded. Played around on one today at the store, and while I suck at bass it sounds great.

QUOTE (bigmoney2112 @ Nov 13 2010, 05:56 PM) Saw a vinyl copy of Johnny Cash's at san Quentin, at Best Buy today, was really tempted to get, but then remembered that I don't have a record player. Buy it anyways! Then, when you do get a record player, you'll have something good to play on it.

I will say "we" when referring to: Georgia Bulldogs (any sport, but especially football) Atlanta Braves Atlanta Falcons Augusta State Jaguars The first three have been in my blood since I was young, while the latter has been in my blood for about five years. And, as mentioned earlier, without the fans, there's no team.

QUOTE (Ted Barchetta @ Nov 10 2010, 02:01 AM)I just can't stop being madly in love with my Telecaster. It can do absolutely anything. From Cool Jazz to Tech Death. I need a good mic so I can show everyone how excellent it sounds. It absolutely NAILS the Grace Under Pressure guitar tone. Is that the caramel Squier Tele? I saw your review (I think) on Musician's Friend, and I got to play one in my music store, and I loved it. $180 is killer for that, but I may have to wait until I get my bass new pickups and a bridge, but after that... it's my priority.

Not trying to be a dick for those Muse fans who haven't seen them live but... I'm kinda mad that I saw them. Great show, great setlist, awesome atmosphere... but the problem was that I didn't know the band like I know Rush, so I didn't know all of the lyrics and whatnot. The same thing sorta applied when I saw Green Day, but I knew their stuff better than I knew Muse. Thankfully, the next time I see them I'll know more lyrics, and hopefully I'll be on the floor so I can jump around.

QUOTE (garbo @ Nov 9 2010, 08:49 PM) Oh my god.... *breathes deeply* I must come back here after I've collected myself... I think I just had a meltdown of AWESOME. Sorry, this is why I never joined a muse forum. I would have died.

Same thing happened to me when I was like eight (Squier p-bass, for free). I haven't done any work on it at all; it still has the stock pups and bridge, and neither are in great condition. At a later time, when I have the money, I'm gonna get new pups and a Badass bridge put on it. Can't wait to hear it after that.

QUOTE (garbo @ Nov 8 2010, 11:52 PM) I want to make a Muse thread, but I'm worried the fangirling will overtake me and I'll make a buffoon of myself. You guys don't know what that band and their music does to me. If there was a deadly sin for a person, that would be mine... http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?showtopic=53908

QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Nov 7 2010, 09:55 PM)I just listened to Tales From Topographical Oceans for the first time today. It is awesome! Only complaint is that it is a bit long, but otherwise its practically a masterpiece. Took you long enough While I don't think it's a masterpiece, it's a damn good record (Ritual and Revealing = ) and it's definitely not a one-listen-then-review record. It's probably Yes' most dense work, due to the sheer length of it as opposed to CTTE or Relayer both being only 40 minutes each. BTW, it's Topographic... no "al" needed at the end.

Nah, just trying to see if I could get a rise out of you. BTW, this is the Internet, of course I don't accept opinions contrary to mine. However, everyone should accept my opinions as gospel, and if not, they're idiots.
