  1. I missed that movie when it first hit the theaters but I caught it a year later on HBO. I remember just sitting there with my mouth hinged open and an amazed stare on my face. Fantastic movie!
  2. Let's hope it's true. And congrats on getting Solar Fed status

  4. QUOTE (rickyrob @ Feb 3 2008, 04:20 PM) Def Michael Palin. He's a traveller like me, and I'd ask him about all the places he visited during his "around the World" and "Pole-to-pole" series. That's what I was thinking, actually. John or Terry G. would be close in second place for my pick, though.
  5. Yep. I definitely like the extras. The behind-the-scenes stuff and intervies add well to the main feature.
  6. This one looks dark and chilling even compared to his other movies. Haven't seen The Village or Lady in the Water but The Sixth Sense was excellent and, except for the ending, I enjoyed Signs.
  7. As a kid, I remember two movies living up to their "scare" hype: Carrie and The Exorcist.
  8. I thought the Sixth Sense was well done. I liked Signs until the ending. The poster for The Happening is cool. That one car on its back in the left foreground makes the mood more ominous.
  9. That stuff is absolutely classic! I always loved Bugs and Co. but the skit where Daffy is trying to get Elmer to shoot Bugs and winds up with his beak blown into a new position (over and over) is the first time I can remember laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.
  10. Man, those are incredibly funny. More!
  11. That definitely has my attention.
  12. Around ten people I've talked to have given the movie an enthusiastic thumbs-up. I remember the book captivating me when I read it as a kid. Looks like the movie may do the same thing.
  13. I'm glad I'm not the only one who'se glad to see this moron go. And, yeah. The rest of the reality shows can follow him.
  14. It may be one big cliche but The Exorcist is one of my favorites. Paganoman is right when he suggested The Changeling. Almost no special effects but a damn good movie. (Nice to find someone else who has actually seen it.)
  15. (Trying to keep a straight face) So, do you and the other Barbies hang out with the Ged, Alex, and Neil bobblehead dolls?

    Fear

I remember when they did the three Fear parts in concert back in '84. Incredible! I would love to see a Part V come about but I'm not holding my breath. Ooo. Scaddy.
  17. Prime Mover! Force Ten and Mission get Honorable Mention. HYF is definitely underrated but one of my favorites.
  18. Jacob's Ladder. It's the song that got me into Rush many, many years ago.
