  1. Only when I watch porn and realize I'm not in it. Seriously though, yeah just get into better shape, less carbs, more exercise. If that doesn't work, just get some of those boner-rific pills.
  2. It's not repetitive at all...repetitive at all...repetitive at all.
  3. I got you all beat...the house I grew up was 2112 First St. My sister now owns it after my parents passed away.
  4. hold your fire = hold your nose way too lightweight...nothing musically interesting. I think I've played the album maybe 5 or 6 times, just to remind me how boring it is.
  5. Not only would the set list include a bunch of songs that they don't want to play, but there's the real chance that people would select all of their longer songs and we'd end up with a 6 hour concert. They've always been pretty 'control-freakish' (is that a word?) about their concerts and would rather have everything perfected and not do anything half-baked. There's also the possibility of having a song selected that's difficult for Geddy to sing, or difficult for them to pull off a perfect version in concert. I sort of wonder if they changed the intro section in La Villa because Alex couldn't play the classical 'flurry' anymore. It's a nice valid idea, but I don't think it would fly (by night) Perhaps they could say, ok here's a list of 10 songs, we'll play the top 6 vote getters and fill in the rest of the set with our choices.
  6. OOO OOO OOO Alex plays keyboards!!!! Big deal, they could train the monkeys in the TS video to play that part in Time Stand Still. I don't know of many people that go to Rush concerts to check out the keyboard jams. Unless you're watching Keith Emerson or Rick Wakefield, keyboards in rock are pretty dull.
  7. Oh man I'm so bummed they're not playing Natural Attrition this tour.
  8. How about "Don't Leave My Thing Alone!"
  9. Go to their next concert, stand outside the gate and hold up a sign that says "Set list sucks". Then get prepared to be trampled by 15000 people that want to see and enjoy the show. If you really have a pair , then you'd do this...not just b**ch about it on a forum.
  10. Sell your tickets, don't go to the show. Give someone else a chance to enjoy the show. Thank you for flying Delta.
  11. I guess you should just stay home next time and get drunk on cheaper beer. Save your seat for someone that will enjoy the show. I don't get the people who b**ch about the set list, then spend their money and still go to the show. Suppose you hate spinach, but you know a restaurant is serving spinach but you still go to the restaurant and b**ch about the spinach.
  12. They forgot to calibrate the steam intake valves on Alex's new Steampunk amps.
  13. Even though they cancelled the show, the feeling was that they were still going to do a 2nd Chicago show in the future and honor the tickets. As for this fool's idea of suing them, maybe the guys can make it up, bring him up on stage during a show and introduce him (and post his cell phone number on the screen). As far as this dude's logic...lessee he and his buds flew from New York to Chicago. Ummm, Rush was going to play shows alot closer to New York. If you could only do the Chicago show, then pile in a Minivan and $70-80 of gas money will get you to Chicago and back. 42 year old still working on his PhD...*cough* professional student *cough* People with advanced degrees can be the dumbest f**kers around.
  14. I really want to know how I can get one of those 'RASH' tshirts Geddy was wearing for the 2nd set.
  15. I took my 14 year old to Milwaukee as his first rock concert. He's more into rap (what can I say...I'm an open minded tolerant dad). I basically 'kid napped' him and had him in the car before I told him where we were going. He tolerated the show pretty well and I can actually tell he enjoyed parts of it (for stubborn 14 year olds, sometimes tolerance is the best reaction you get from them). We had bleacher seats and were able to half-watch the fireworks show in the harbor that started during the second set. He was a little bummed that he was going to miss fireworks, so that made him happy(er). The fireworks didn't interfere with the show, but I wonder how the band felt about it. As far as show, it was awesome and the highlight for me was new material. Caravan flat out rocks live. I really had to feel sorry for Alex with his 335 crapping out right at the beginning of La Villa. He still did the rest of the song with a Les and nailed it like a pro. I could tell by the look on his face he was ready to strangle someone. Somewhere there's a guitar or sound tech getting an arse chewing. We went to the Cubs game today since we were making our way back to Michigan and someone mentioned Geddy was present. I didn't see him, but if that's true, I had a hunch he might be there since today was an off day and they were playing Chicago tomorrow.
