  1. I'm still blown away by BU2B every time I hear it. It's so heavy and mean and yet the groove is outrageous.
  2. Traditionally I stand with the fanboys. Rush has yet to really disappoint me.
  3. Deep Purple Made in Japan... The Who Live at Leeds. The deluxe version with Tommy is outstanding... I've been listening to The Grateful Dead Europe 72 lately, but I'm not sure I'm ready to add it to my "favorites" list yet. There are others, but nothing is springing to mind today.
  4. I seriously love Snakes and Arrows and I voted Yes. I have such a good feeling about this one.
  5. I didn't really want to go to the Toronto show anyway.
  6. Why did I have to sign up for that training at work that is keeping me from being able to go to the Toronto show?
  7. Talk about a huge increase in optimism. I thought Caravan was good. I thought BU2B was freakin' fantastic. I think Headlong Flight might be the best of the three. I really can't wait for more.
  8. Epic, man. Epic. I'm sitting here drooling while waiting for more such epicness.
  9. Most of the venues I've talked to have said they draw the line at cameras with detachable lenses. They have to draw the line somewhere, and that's an easily definable place. I believe that technically it's the band's call though, so if you clear it with the venue before hand you could still get stuck when the band actually arrives. I don't risk it. I bring my little point and shoot and leave my DSLR at home.
  10. Oh, and allow me to state publicly... I very much doubt the set list will change much, if at all. Just saying.
  11. Sorry if this has been answered already, but yesterday's announcement said presales will begin for select shows on 12/6... but it doesn't say which select shows. Anyone have any info on which shows? We're thinking of heading from Boston to New York for the Madison Square Garden show. The Garden Grady 2007 was an absolute blast. No reason to expect otherwise this time, right?
  12. I noticed Geddy asking for help with his monitors a couple of times too. I think they might just have had a crappy night, technologically speaking. They sure weren't having any problems playing, they were all on fire all night.
  13. The guitar was lost during the pyro in Far Cry. It was gone for the rest of the song. When they came back on stage it was still gone. People are saying it was the wireless because of the cables, but they changed cables a couple of times. The problem most definitely had nothing to do with the ES 355. I think it might have been the amps themselves (although it probably was just the wireless). The sound was significantly different once they got their work around in place. In my usual manner of over thinking solutions to problems that I didn't have to work on... I think he might have been going straight into the PA for the encore. From my seat in the way distance the guitar kinda had that DI sort of crappy sound to it. He clearly was pissed off about the situation, but hats off to the tech who found a way to get him back up as quickly as humanly possible. The guy clearly found himself in a really painful situation and he kept his head and got things to work out. The "Still No Guitar" improv was a blast, but it very well could have been the end of the show. Nice job, guitar tech.
  14. The decision to allow or disallow cameras does not come from the venue, it comes from the promoter. Last tour at the first couple of shows I attended they were checking for cameras in security, but by the later shows they had stopped. There was talk of them throwing in the towel on the camera front. The TD Garden in Boston does have a blanket ban on cameras with removable lenses, but for anything smaller than that it's the promoter who makes the call. I was at SPAC in '08 in the very last row of seats with a point and shoot that's about the size of a credit card, and I got some very good (not excellent, but very good) shots. Don't underestimate the power of a small camera in the 21st century.
  15. Just wondering what the camera policy on the Time Machine Tour is. I have been staying far away from TRF since opening night in hopes of not having any of the surprises ruined for me. I've been... sort of successful, I guess. Anyway, in '08 they started loosening up the camera policy and I was just wondering if that's continued on this tour. Thanks everyone! TD Garden in Boston tomorrow night!
  16. My money is on Far Cry, and I think that would be a great choice. Something tells me it might be Moving Pictures though. Just a little tickle in the back of my pea brain.
  17. Given the options here I went with The Spirit of Radio. I liked Far Cry and One Little Victory when they opened the 2nd set with them. I think they'd work opening the show too. Oh, and Bastille Day is probably the best opener ever.
  18. The Bruins are going to beat the Sabers in six games.
  19. Two, or three, or 15 brand spankin' shiny new songs. That's all I need.
  20. I am most certainly not posting to threads like this one so that I can get my fancy 2112 badge before the new tour starts. Nope, not at all!
  21. Why has the posting to this thread slowed down so much?
  22. Garden Grady v2.0. Boston edition. I can't wait. Say again, I cannot wait!
  23. Given the vast number of forum members who are constantly begging the band to play this song... I am guessing there were a lot of people wetting their pants with glee at around 7:00am eastern time today.
