  1. Has to be the funniest movie of the year.
  2. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Sep 14 2009, 12:32 PM) Next up is a band I'm not really big on but who knows they might surprise me...A buddy has a ticket for me to see Kings of Leon next Sunday night. Pretty much a warmup for the main ticket for me which is Porcupine Tree on the 30th. I'll be at that Porcupine Tree show too. What kind of seats do you have?
  3. QUOTE (Show Don't Tell @ Sep 12 2009, 11:29 PM) Seeing U2 this Thursday in Toronto. Should be pretty sweet. I'm going to the Wednesday show.
  4. I got the boxset right when the store opened, but my friend just came from there not too long ago and said they only had one copy of Rubber Soul left and a couple early albums. Anyone else's local music stores sell out like this too?
  5. I've decided I want to get the stereo boxset, but will all the stores be sold out of them from presales and stuff tomorrow?
  6. The new song took me a few listens, but I really like it now. And as much as I'd like to see new songs and studio versions of aforementioned live songs such as Lift, there's no greater thrill than Radiohead releasing a full-length studio album.
  7. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Jun 25 2009, 12:46 AM) I just picked up OK Computer on vinyl today, and I'm listening to it for the first time. Sounds great! Oh yeah, one of my favourite albums I own on vinyl.
  8. QUOTE (theworkingman @ Aug 17 2009, 02:11 AM) QUOTE (pt2112 @ Aug 16 2009, 09:28 PM) QUOTE (theworkingman @ Aug 17 2009, 12:23 AM) QUOTE (pt2112 @ Aug 16 2009, 09:20 PM) Second best shows of the year (the only show beating it was Wilco). Wilco's current show is amazing. One of the best touring bands out there today. I have yet to see The Decemberists live but I thought I'd chime in with that. Oh, I know. I can almost compare that Wilco show I was at to both times I've seen Radiohead, though Radiohead was still better. But it was almost like seeing the alternative-country version of Radiohead. It blew my mind. Thankfully, I'm seeing Wilco again at Massey Hall in Toronto in October. I have yet to see Radiohead but I almost understand where you're coming from with that statement. They were just ON the night I saw them. The new songs were fantastic and SIX songs from Yankee Hotel! Feist came out when You and I was performed for the first time ever live. Just a great show all around. Have a great time at that TO show! This was the set list for the second of three nights: http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p57/ciszowski_matt/l_9e2263c1beb54662aa955dc809e800f4.jpg You were so lucky to see Feist perform that song. I would have loved to see that. Anyway, killer set too.

  10. I just saw them twice in 10 days for the Toronto and Buffalo shows. It was my first time seeing them and WOW! They were unbelievable. Second best shows of the year (the only show beating it was Wilco). The Hazards of Love flowed so well and it was pretty much like watching a theatrical show. Becky Stark and Shara Worden complemented the band perfectly with thier beautiful singing. The second sets were just as good, transitioning from an intense first set into a fun, upbeat second set. Colin was really having a fun time with the crowd at the Toronto show, and I loved watching Jenny play; not only is she a great keyboard player, but it seemed like she was really into the show. They played a couple of new tunes at the Toronto show which sounded great. Highlights from both shows in addition to the full album included The Crane Wife 3, Yankee Bayonet, The Sporting Life, Shankill Butchers and the sing-a-long Sons and Daughters in the encore. Just a wonderful band to see live.

  13. Seeing them for the first time in August in Toronto. Love this band.
  14. QUOTE (theworkingman @ May 18 2009, 10:45 PM) WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!! http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/upcomi...the_studio.html QUOTE Radiohead's Colin Greenwood has told Nme.com the Oxford band have begun recording their new album with producer Nigel Godrich. The bassist revealed that the band went into the studio to start work on the follow-up to 2007's "In Rainbows" last week (beginning May 11) "We've just started work [in the studio] last week," he said. "It's really cool and everything is sounding great. It's early days and it is a bit like having a scrapbook at the moment because everything is up in the air, but it's good to be back in the studio." He was quick to praise Godrich, who has produced every Radiohead album since 1997's "OK Computer". "He's brilliant," Greenwood gushed. "He can make everything sound like it's working together rather than us trying to kill each other." Greenwood was speaking at Brighton's Great Escape festival, which took place over the weekend (May 13-16). Awesome news and great to hear that Godrich will be returning once again. I can't wait. Sick.
  15. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jan 27 2009, 08:00 PM) Still probably the best "closer" from their past five studio albums; a great message to end with. With all the bumps to this thread, this'll be the third time I say this : "The Stars Look Down" is the weakest track on VT. I agree with what Neil was saying, but the song is too blah. I pretty much agree with all of this.
  16. I saw this movie last night and absolutely LOVED it.
  17. Had a lot of extra Christmas cash, so I decided to spend some of it on the Freaks and Geeks Yearbook edition that they just re-released. In addition to everything on the regular DVD, it comes with 2 extras discs of bonus footage and an 80 page yearbook. Yes, I'm pretty obsessed with this show. http://www.amazon.com/Freaks-Geeks-Yearboo...30521326&sr=1-2
  18. It was a pretty average Carrey movie. It was pretty much exactly what I expected though.
  19. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Dec 2 2008, 07:45 AM) QUOTE (pt2112 @ Dec 2 2008, 01:25 AM) Best show ever. So mad it was cancelled after only 1 season. Not even one season! Yes, that's true. I'm glad they have the whole first season on DVD though.
  20. Best show ever. So mad it was cancelled after only 1 season.
