  5. About 40 minutes from now... man this is late! Got spoiled by Eastern Time Zone shows.
  6. Great view to watch Rush live for the first time, eh?! ;) :haz:
  7. no, its Big Money... trust me I am a bass player... ;) :geddy:
  8. Yes it is - from Big Money... starting a couple of bars before the first verse... its already been used - there is no unused material... ;)
  9. I like the sound of the Wal Bass on that album... but I don't like the Wal on other material (doesn't work)... My first ever RUSH concert was on the HYF Tour... the view I had (right on the barricade): http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s282/rushbass/Rush1-27-1988.jpg http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s282/rushbass/Alex1-27-1988.jpg http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s282/rushbass/Geddy1-27-1988.jpg
  10. "Geddy Lee sings like a guinea pig with an amphetamine habit.” John Griffin, Montreal Gazette "If Geddy’s voice was any higher and raspier, his audience would consist exclusively of dogs and extraterrestrials.” Dan Nooger, Circus “Lead singer Geddy Lee continues to sound as though he played one football game too many without ample equipment.” Detroit News “Lee’s voice sounds like the damned howling in Hades.” Globe & Mail
  11. I like the song Xanadu so much, it's even represented in my Avatar... :7up: :rush: :haz: :D
  12. One hour difference... but I am going to give the first set a go - anything after that will be way too late for me... :(
  13. I was going to say Ytzach Perlman. FWIW, the fact that Ben Mink wrote the part doesn't necessarily make him the better performer of the part, it just makes him the more creative performer of the part, which is certainly not to be underestimated--it's a brilliant piece of music. But sometimes another interpretation of someone's work transcends the original version. I liked JD's performances better. It's like the Jimi Hendrix studio version of Hey Joe compared to whoever that guy is who wrote it that hardly anyone can remember what his name is without looking it up on google. Or Blinded By The Light by Manfred Mann's Earth Band compared to the original by Springsteen. There are musicians out there that could perform Rush's songs better than they themselves can right now... would you rather hear those musicians cover their tunes? Or the original guys? :outtahere: Just sayin'... I think it was epic having Mink back to perform it live for the first time. Dink was definitely more showy, and deserves props as well for a killer performance.
  14. i give up.. its over anyway. Good night all! See you at the Vancouver scope!
