I thought the Halloween reload was *awesome* and Friday the 13th was quite *good* but this one I'm a little worried about YBT. Judging from the trailer it doesn't look like too much of a departure from the old ones. Sure Freddy's face looks a bit difference and his voice is improved. Looks like a bit more backstory on him where maybe even he was innocent of his crimes but... The same sexy young teenagers and the same little girls singing "1, 2, Freddy's coming for you" and the same shots of him walking down a basement corridor scraping his razors on the railing... it just seems like we've seen all this before. On a big positive it looks a lot more serious/scary probably gory like my favorite classics in the series unlike some of the retardedly silly ones they put out. Let's hope this is good!

What game(s) are you playing through right now?
Godeater2112 replied to deadwing2112's topic in Reverse Polarity
I wouldn't saying PLAYIN really, but I am using Madden 10 on the 360 to make my football picks today. What I have been playing this week is Lost Odyssey on 360. Excellent JRPG if you love the Final Fantasy series. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. -
QUOTE (Tammeh @ Sep 26 2009, 03:31 PM) you got to see Cyrus but he didn't speak Not even one little "Fack off I got work to do!"?

I put zero credence into pre-season hockey games and actually prefer to see how some of the prospects handle themselves. That being said anyone watch the Boston/Ottawa game last night? Holy crap what an exciting game to watch, better than most regular season games I watch. Sens woulda coulda shoulda had this one but as I said the results don't matter much. What a tilt between Neil and Lucic though!

QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Sep 22 2009, 08:50 PM) Alex will be back as a cop I hadn't heard anything about Alex in this one so was assuming he hadn't taken part. This morning though I read otherwise! I won't spoil anything but for those curious you can read aboot it here: http://lfpress.ca/newsstand/Today/Entertai...108541-sun.html Anyone see this yet? I'm trying to sync up the schedules with myself, wife and roommate to find a good day to go see it.

I saw this quote on a Dr. Seuss themed t-shirt, but I don't think it's actually a Seuss quote but I love it nonetheless. "We meant what we said and we said what we meant and we went to bed happy 100 percent" Pretty deep truism if ya think about it. Edit: I scoured around a bit, and it must be a play on this line from Dr Seuss. "I meant what I said, and I said what I meant. An elephant's faithful, one hundred percent. "

I never realized that if I dress up as Geddy on Halloween it so vastly increases the possibility of being ravaged by cougars! Awesome!

Very hilarious fast paced movie and just laden with Rush references! Highly recommended!

OK, it's Christopher Lloyd as a Red Lectroid from the awesome movie 'The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension'. Sorry to throw a monkey wrench into your game. Just finished watching this movie, must have seen it as a kid because it seemed very familiar. Don't know what to *say* about the movie exactly. Uhhhh pretty bizarre and very 80s and... silly and funny and nonsensical and cheesy as all hell. Stacked actors in it though. Pretty amusing watch, I feel like someone slipped something into my drinky-poo. Laugh-a while you can-a, monkey-boy! I have a deep affection for that movie and I think it's a Hell of a lot of fun. They need to hurry up and make 'Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League'! Yeah I hadn't heard of another Buckaroo movie but had to *check* to see if they ever released a "World Crime League" movie just in case. I wonder if they will ever remake this movie?

LSM SINGS REBA FOR CONTEST
Godeater2112 replied to LakesideMaiden's topic in Exercises in Self-Indulgence
I never heard the Reba version before since I R not country fan in general, but I did like your job on the vocals! Good luck with the contest! P.S. I am half way tempted to do a version except with heavy metal lyrics, I like it sometimes when a song gets totally turned upside down. Country fans across the world can thank God I don't have time for that today since I have an exam tomorrow. -
Is your band a Rush cover band? I sure hope so with that kind of logo.

I would love to see Flo versus the Tic Tac girl in either Celebrity Deathmatch or jelly wrestling. YouTube - Tic Tacs

I dunno I could survive living in Japan. This baby is right royally evil, and catchy too. This brings beating the product name into your cerebral cortex to the "weapons of mass destruction" level.

QUOTE (silver @ Sep 2 2009, 08:48 PM) This long term shit doesn't make sense to me as the cap is to shrink next year. You are absolutely correct, and the smartest teams now are ones that have a floundering miniscule roster and lots of cap room... get a high pick or two and then feast on free agents next summer. I hate to say it but if the Leafs for example are really putting themselves in a great position if they stay the course. Same goes for teams like the Islanders and Preds.
