  1. Thank you kindly my good gents! I hope to see you soon for one of these ----> Tour leg two perhaps?
  2. Great topic, I've told my story before but here it is again. Not many people have much to thank annoying "Columbia Records Club" for if they even still exist today but I do! My first Rush album was actually on cassette and was Hold your Fire. Stupid Columbia House kept sending me their "tape-of-the-month" junk even though I wrote them 500 times to cancel that. To cheese them off I started opening every one they sent me listen to it once no matter what it was - put it back in the package and RETURN TO SENDER it back to them. One day Hold your Fire shows up... I didn't sleep a wink that night totally mesmerized listening to it over and over and over and over again. The rest is history!
  3. QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Jul 23 2012, 11:07 PM) Immediately switched over to the video response made by some busty chick and muted. Wow, what a great rack, thanks for the heads up!
  4. Sorry I let this sit for so long with broken download links! Here are the new links at DepositFiles.com. Both need to be unrared, one is the .scr version and the other is the .exe version, they both serve the same purpose. Enjoy! 6. QUOTE (jdouglas @ Jul 29 2012, 12:04 PM) The biggest waste of your money is your $150-$200 per month cable bill. You probably can get 30 digital channels for free with a $20 antenna, not to mention your increased productivity from not watching TrashTV like TeenMom and Jersey Shore all day. So there is $2k to spend per year on high priced concerts, or other activities you might enjoy. You are never gonna be 65 years old telling stories of the episodes of Flip This House you saw in 2012, but you might have some good memories of seeing Rush, the Who, the Stones, etc to share. Disclaimer: I can afford cable, but been cable free for 4 years on principal. Respect. I can afford cable too but am looking at FTA solutions for a variety of reasons, including being totally pissed off by the crappy television monopolies we have going on in Canada. Too bad up here we also don't get the free over the air depth that you guys do.
  7. Happy birthday, hope you are having a terrific day!
  8. Happy birthday Donna I hope you are having a blast! I haven't seen you here in a dog's age hopefully bump into ya sometime soon!

Good on you being mature enough not to lay on the ground in front of the lighthouse and pretend that is is your projecting phallus. Were I to be photographed there things may have ended differently.

Lovely photo and a great poster, gotta love the Canadian flag thing! I just saw them in Ottawa a couple of weeks back but was so raptly enjoying the experience and show it never even occurred to me to look at merch. Is that poster something they sold or did you do it yourself? It's very cool.
  12. Note to self re-upload this somewhere tonight. I may even look at making a new one this weekend. Hmmm what track of CA would work well with it?
  13. Happy birthday Geds! Enjoy some nice soup and fine wine today!
  14. Now not to be a rotten asshole, and I am not familiar with this person's back story (the web page does little to explain, cites health issues + a fire), but a fundraiser for $1000 to pay for Rush tickets and transportation to the show seems a little bit odd. If some tragedy happened to a member here that we knew, you can believe that I'd be first in line to help out, and not just raising money for concert tickets... this just seems a little... I dunno.
  15. QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ Jul 11 2012, 09:58 PM) Let's figure out who lives closest to Gemini and he can go to their house and listen to the CD. No takers yet? Hahaha.
  16. BU2B is not a song... Pork is not a verb... Whatever!

Went all the way from Canada last tour, figured I could just buy tickets from scalpers on the way in? Not a chance! Was lucky the box office still had some lawns left! Good on Tampa. We liked Tampa! I know you dudes. You sure do my good friend! Tampa was awesome! The casino was great, barely remember getting back to the hotel. The hotel was great, pre-party by the pool meeting people and listening to RUSH all afternoon. Wild Wings was awesome. Orange spandex booty sitting on my lap pointing out which ass from their calendar was hers, what a riot that place was! Dirt cheap too. Pre and post party with so many Rush fans including people from the forum was amazing! Concert was amazing! Gave the tour shirt off my back to a broke Rush fan vet before stumbling home and smoking a big spliff with some Rush fan strangers before partying by the pool until 3am... And that is just what I remember! We had a great time there. Man we should do that all again!

  19. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ Jul 10 2012, 03:57 PM) I thought this was going to be about him being tied up by his acrobat love on the trapeze Yeah and don't even ask about the true meaning of "The Wreckers".
  20. I love Lyndsey because she is always kind and supportive and laughs at people's threads no matter how bat-shit crazy they are. One of the good ones.
  21. QUOTE (H82LUZ @ Jul 10 2012, 03:18 PM) I Think it is from a Chinese philosophy, Find Your Garden that make`s one Happy.Tend to it every day with love and respect,It reflects your inner light of Life. Not sure. I think it may just be a nod to the concept of a "berry" garden and how at the end it will or should be burned to the ground. I think Neil borrowed a lot of the philosophy from the following Dead Kennedys lyrics: No junk food, just earthly goods I ate weird berries in the woods Now I'm seeing colors, I'm getting higher I think I'll start a forest fire Burn it to the ground! See what I mean?
  22. We only know Gemini as a weirdo on the Internet, so we don't really know them as a real person to be able to determine how many of those wyptoms they exude. At a glance though, and judging as a poster, about half of those seem spot on and the other half seems exactly the opposite. I know well what acute narcissism is, but Gemini has the case of something a bit more peculiar i think.
  23. QUOTE (Gompers @ Jul 10 2012, 10:49 AM) QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Jul 10 2012, 09:51 AM)http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s294/Godeater2112/Untitled-2.jpg Name: Lori Age: 24 Nice outfit, is that comfortable for cycling? Let's just say the airflow is.... ahhhhhhhhhh titilating. So thanks for talking to us today. What qualifies you to speak to what genre of music Rush would fall into? My pleasure. I have a PhD in Music History from Yale University. Also my older brother started getting me into Rush when I was 12. It all started with Exit Stage Left... So as a scholar, what do you answer when people ask you "are Rush heavy metal?". Well first off Anthem, Cygnus X1 and 2112 are obviously country songs right? Joking! Rush has obviously had a long and storied musical career and have progressed wildly over the past four decades. Certainly, especially in the first half of their career they would strongly be considered heavy metal and then progressive metal. As a matter of fact several of my colleagues have researched and presented such facts in a myriad of books and documentaries. Do people still read? So what do you say to those that insist that Rush is not metal? Maybe these people were born in the 90s and have limited exposure to genres of music? With all the kids nowadays listening to rap influenced mallcore , it might be very hard to grasp what was considered metal back in the late '60s and early '70s, when heavy metal was truly born. The next generation will probably argue that Black Sabbath and Slayer are not metal, just because they never set off atomic weaponry at concerts and didn't shoot dead babies out of cannons like future bands will probably do. Kids nowadays... Tell us something about yourself that not many people know. I may seem very confident but I have a couple weird phobias actually. I always feel like someone is following me and I am also terrified of large reptiles. Favorite Rush experience? Ask me again in 11 minutes. Let's head to your car and listen to The Garden first. Rowwwr. Woohoo! Hey, is that Godzilla humping a building behind her? Huh?! Godzilla? WTF are you talking about Willis?!
  24. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Jul 10 2012, 02:37 PM) QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Jul 10 2012, 01:31 PM) You are really doing it for us? I'm pretty sure there is a name for that in some sort of psychiatric journal. Yes, its called "empathy" Hahaha! As I said I am sure there is a name for it, but I'm sure it leans toward some form of delusion, and certainly not empathy.
