  1. Looks badass.
  2. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Aug 18 2009, 07:43 AM) So, that being said, I will probably take her to see it despite the potential loss of man-points. I will, however, make up for it by going to see 'Inglorious Basterds'! Good f***ing plan!
  3. QUOTE (invisibleairwaves @ Aug 10 2009, 12:15 AM) Wow, apparently they've started selling 3-tone sunburst Geddy JB's. I guess they're a replica of the drop-D bass, and they are sexy. Musiciansfriend link I WANT I need to own that. Bad. wait. Do you think they'll make his red jazz bass too?
  4. I just picked up a 1978 fretless Fender Precision Bass from a Guitar Center in Cincinnati. Pics soon!!!!!!! It's an amazing instrument.
  5. "Rorschach's Journal, 1985. Tonight, a comedian died in New York."
  6. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jun 2 2009, 12:12 PM) My Mosin Nagant with the new stock: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v329/JackAubrey/MN.jpg Holy cow! That is GORGEOUS! I love those rifles!!!
  7. QUOTE (theworkingman @ Jul 9 2009, 07:37 PM) Isn't James Cameron doing Avatar? It's a different Avatar; an original story by Cameron.
  8. "SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE!!!"
  9. "You always were an asshole, Gorman." And of course, Hudson's famous last lines: (as Hudson is frantically mowing down aliens) "Come on! Come on! Come and get it, baby! Come on! I don't got all day! Come on! Come on! Come on you bastard! Come on, you too! Oh, you want some of this? f**k you! " Epic stuff.
  10. "Hello boys, I'm BAAAAAACCCCKKKK!!!!!!" Randy Quaid's last line from Independence Day.
  11. What a shame. Death Race is one of my favorites.
  12. I don't own one, but I've played around with them, and they're really cool! Wata, the guitarist from Boris occasionally uses them for their more drone-y heavier, songs like Blackout.
  13. Now maybe if James Cameron was producing...maybe.
  14. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ May 28 2009, 04:49 PM) QUOTE (syrinxpriest 2112 @ May 28 2009, 10:51 AM) No. This is blasphemy. Ridley Scott knows better than this. You're not comforted by the fact that he's producing? Hardly. I'd rather him do a GOOD sequel to Aliens, or just a good, original tie in to the series. I suppose it's better than someone like McG producing, but still. As a huge fan of the franchise, I don't want to see such a classic film be swallowed into the "Remake" category.
  15. No. This is blasphemy. Ridley Scott knows better than this.
  16. I don't listen much, but I know their bassist uses a Status-Graphite S-2 Classic bass, one of which I should own by next Sunday!!!
  17. Nah, Bass can get you laid....you just have to try REALLY hard. Smooth funky slap bass lines tend to do the trick. BTW that vid was effing hilarious.
  18. http://movies.yahoo.com/news/movies.eonlin...pinoff-20090506 THIS. IS. AWESOME. I'm quite happy to see one of the more underrated Marvel characters getting some well deserved respect.
  19. http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?...07275&GT1=28101 I much enjoyed his comedy. What a shame.
  20. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Apr 25 2009, 12:08 PM) QUOTE (syrinxpriest 2112 @ Apr 25 2009, 12:06 PM) Of course I'm still waiting for them to go back and do Alien 3 correctly, so.... Yeah, me too. I wish they could write a great script and then get Ridley Scott to direct it. Better yet, get Ridley Scott and James Cameron to co-direct it. God that'd be a sci-fi nerd's wet dream. Though I think I'd be difficult to get James Cameron to actually cooperate with someone.
  21. This could be awesome, or it could majorly suck. Either way, I'll be seeing it. Of course I'm still waiting for them to go back and do Alien 3 correctly, so....
  22. Talked to Rob Green today. Should have the bass around the 22 of May. I'm so freaking excited!!!
  23. Not bad at all. I actually really liked it! Had a sort of Porcupine Tree vibe going and you sound a lot like Steven Wilson. There were a few syncing errors I noticed, IE: some instruments were a little of tempo, but these were mild and could be easily fixed. Good Job!
  24. Wow, people are still posting in this thread?
  25. I loved it. One of the best Rogen films so far, imo. It's a dark, dry humour, which i love. SPOILER As far as the date rape thing goes: No, the don't joke about it. Who ever started that crap obviously misinterpreted the scene and just wanted something to bitch and get semi-famous about.
