  1. I voted for SABBATH, but it should be noted that I'm not all that familiar with Maiden yet. I just love SABBATH, and felt the need to vote, so they won this round for me!
  2. DISTANT EARLY WARNING SOMETHING FOR NOTHING ANTHEM
  3. QUOTE (Rushian King @ Jan 16 2009, 10:59 AM) Humour is a subjective thing. Ferrel's hit on a particular shtick for his movie ideas/roles and I think he's done a solidly funny job in all of them. I just watched Blades Of Glory which I thought was at least as good as any of his previous outings. His movies are comparable to just about anything Apatow and Co. have done. Ferrell is easily the funniest and most consistent of ex-SNLers. P.S.: I haven't seen Step-Brothers yet. Oh crap! I knew I was forgetting one!!! BLADES OF GLORY That movie is incredibly funny...actually, it might be his very best. I feel like an idiot for forgetting it!
  4. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jan 12 2009, 05:01 PM) QUOTE (yaoi_myantidrug @ Jan 2 2009, 02:48 AM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDrLdfgx3CQ Brians son I clicked on that hoping for a laugh, unfortunately it didn't happen. I honestly don't mean to be an ass, but 'Family Guy' just isn't funny anymore. It was funny up until it was cancelled but since they've brought it back it seems like McFarlane just isn't trying anymore. Something has happened to his brain. Absolutely 100% agree with Jack here. I keep watching Family Guy every week hoping to find some really great episodes, but it hasn't happened in quite a few seasons now. I find with every season, it's getting significantly worse, and I go through most of the episodes without cracking a smile. That sucks, when I think of how the first seasons made me laugh uncontrolably. I've been on a real SIMPSONS binge lately...and I can honestly say that even Family Guy's best material barely stands up to the Simpsons' best. People can criticize the Simpsons for 'going on to long', but the fact is, during their top seasons, they were able to create constantly hillarious episodes without ever really pushing the envelope. Family Guy loves to constantly push the envelope as far as they possibly can, and yet, it always seems to backfire. Don't get me wrong, I still like watching FG. I just think they've already gone stale, as sad as it is to say it.
  5. WOW...an absolute hate-on here! I won't say much more, except that I'm a fan of his stuff personally. I agree, he's had some bad movies, and some 'okay' movies, which includes this one. But Old School, Anchorman, Talledega Nights, and even his cameo in Wedding Crashers were absolutely priceless IMO.
  6. MY CHOICE: MOVING PICTURES - SIDE ONE Amazing. Brilliant. Stunning. Genius. Perfect. HONOURABLE MENTION: POWER WINDOWS - SIDE TWO I would say 4 very often-forgot-about tracks. (I realize Mystic Rhythms was considered a "single" with the video, but is still rarely talked about amongst the other popular tracks). Bottom line: Every single one of these tracks are outstanding, and they compliment each other perfectly! The whole production and "flow" of Power Windows is undeniably outstanding!
  7. QUOTE (tangy @ Dec 31 2008, 11:08 AM) http://bucketheadland.com/home_for_hemorrage.html Very kind. Buckethead has just released two songs about Lebron James in honor of his birthday. Link above has the MP3's Check out King James too if you haven't already! Thanks for that!! Wow...the track "LEBRON" is downright f'n awesome!!
  8. QUOTE (Larks @ Sep 18 2008, 04:42 PM) even worse that st. anger How so? (I'm asking because you're the only person I've heard say that so far!)

  10. QUOTE (rotting @ Sep 15 2008, 03:47 PM) QUOTE (3113 @ Sep 15 2008, 12:06 PM) It's good! It shows the real cancer was Bob Rock. thats it ............. blame bob rock for the lousy music ........Bob rock was only doing what he was getting paid to do , make their cock rock metal sound a little better . You cant make shit into gold , at the end of the day - its shit . You hate Metallica. We get it dude.
  11. I'm really digging "THE END OF THE LINE"...just some wicked riffs! The one part in particular...'The slave becomes the master', man, it just kicks your a**! Also, I love the riffs throughout Cyanide. It's another heavy song that gets right in your face. I still want to give it a few more listens...but wow, it really is an excellent album. Obviously, I already felt this way when I heard the first few tracks before the release date...which is why I went out and bought it. Nice to see the boys back, and rocking hard!
  12. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Sep 11 2008, 06:15 PM) The instrumental (Suicide & Redemption) is my least favorite. It's a mid-tempo dude with an OK riff...but it's middle section is really excellent, so that's the big draw for me in that one. Instrumental??! F'N SWEET!!!!!!!!!
  13. Yeah, what I've heard so far, I've really enjoyed! Then again, I've liked everything (outside of St. Anger) that they've done!! Either way, I can't wait to hear the entire thing tomorrow!!
  14. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Jul 18 2008, 10:38 AM) I think he's absolutely hilarious and elevates any movie he's in. He can't make a bad movie great, but he can make a bad movie less bad. He can make a good movie great. What he said. 100% Agreed...Will is hillarious. Obviously, alot of you seem to be looking for too much out of his movies. They're simple and funny. I like that.

Just wondering if anyone watches HELL'S KITCHEN? I've been watching it since Season 1, and love it. I'm a huge fan of the show, and basically, anything Gordon Ramsay does. Ramsay is an awesome Chef...and clearly knows his stuff. He goes a bit over the top in HK, but it definitely adds spice to the show. He always makes me laugh anyways!! "WHERE'S THE BEEF???" (PS. Matt has to go...NOW! ) I watched this show once and came to the conclusion that Gordon Ramsay is a f*cking punk. I don't give a hoot in hell who you are, you don't publicly humiliate people like that. There is no justification for doing it. None! Someone needs to kick Ramsay's ass, and I'm not talking about a couple of punches, I'm talking about a broken jaw and maybe a couple day's hospital stay. I'm sorry, but I think that shows like Ramsay's appeal to the dark side of human nature. You should be outraged over the way he treats people, not entertained by it. Yikes...I didn't mean to stir the pot. I just love cooking, love the Food Network, and love watching any and all shows associated with cooking and restaurants. Yes...he does ridicule people a lot on the show, but I feel it's mainly nothing more than for ratings. To me, it's no different than the crap we watch in other TV shows and movies everyday. BTW...if you watch KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, you'll see a much different side of Ramsay. He is much different on that show than HK. It's OK, man. One of my rigidly-adhered-to-one-hundred-percent-non-negotiable principles is that you praise in public and reprimand in private. Anyone who doesn't tends to instantaneously get on my bad side. It's because I've been publicly reprimanded in the past by immature/stupid employers (and I very nearly punched them). In fact one time the guy noticed the look on my face and backed off. He asked me later what the problem was and I told him. He immediately changed his ways and and adopted the above-mentioned policy and to this day we're good friends. No worries...I really do understand your views! It's great that this person changed themselves for the better. I've had a boss that treated me like garbage. Luckly though...I no longer work there, or with him. Anyways...
  18. QUOTE (fs2112 @ May 14 2008, 09:46 AM) terrible news. he probably was a guy with a lot of class and integreity. he couldve capitalized on rush's popularity and written a few books about the early years of rush, or gone on a few talk shows to gossip about geddy and alex. he couldve even recorded a few solo albums in 82 or 83 when rush was becoming very popular. instead, he did the classy thing and stayed out of rush's fame. RIP JR. That is very true. Probably one of the finest quotes ever written on this board. We all forget that while a lot of former band members from other bands tend to capitalize from their former mates, Mr. Rutsey bowed out from Rush gracefully, and never held any hostilities against the band. Clearly, he was a very gracious and unselfish man. He really does deserve the respect of every Rush fan.
  19. Also, I don't consider myself crazy for being entertained by innocent shows like this, when the only movies seemingly coming out these days lean towards torture, killing, rape, and so forth. If you ask me...that's a sad excuse for so called "entertainment". I'm sorry...I just enjoy HK. I really do apologize if others are offended by it. I just started this thread to see if others liked it as well. That's all.
