  3. ^ nice I haggled with the folks at Fye and sold an old Chevelle cd to get these for just under $30: Francis the Mute - The Mars Volta Fear of a Blank Planet - Porcupine Tree Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
  4. Yea I finally found some time to sit and listen to the album. I'm on "Arriving Somewhere But Not Here" and I can already say this' some of the finest music I've ever heard.

I wouldn't have started with that one, personally. That being said, "Lazarus" has got to be one of the best songs of the past three years. Which one would you have recommended then?

And yet that's one of my fave Zeppelin albums. In the end, I believe the band were not happy either. There had been some kind of miscommunication much like what happened with Caress of Steel and a major mistake was made. I've never heard the band wasn't happy. Are you guys old enough to have owned Zep III on vinyl, where the cover actually had the spinning wheel in it? I thought it was great...though the best Zep cover is II. this is the cover art i was never too fond of: http://www.cdpoint.com.br/imagens/075678252822.jpg You have to admit that the rest of the Counterparts packaging is cool though... Absolutely, the rest of the CP packaging is cool. I wish they would have used the hare sitting on top of the tortoise as the cover. Yeah I wouldn't have chosen that as the cover, but it seems to be in the same spirit as the Hold Your Fire cover, with a "less is more" attitude... Ok I should've phrased that better, "Led Zeppelin 3" is my favorite Led Zep album other than "Physical Graffiti", but the cover art isn't so great on there. The wheel idea sounds ok, but If i remember correctly it was done better with PG. (I'm 17 and own no vinyl anything so I can't say much). I love the art to Counterparts it works well with the album, imo. Same with HYF not great as a piece of art, but in the context of the album works very well. Vapor Trails has some of my favorite art out of all of the Rush albums; the fireball and the card ideas are very neat, I chose VT over Signals simply due to the cover art when I first bought it.
  12. Led Zeppelin 3 and Presence are both exceptional albums
  13. The Police - Regatta De Blanc Led Zeppelin - Presence
  14. Dad got me Van Halen's first one is all I can say
  15. ALL of them!! This album has grown on me SO much, I play it start to finish everyday while jogging. "How It Is" is a very special song to me, as are "Vapor Trail", "Sweet Miracle", and "Nocturne", "The Stars Look Down", "Secret Touch, "Freeze" aw hell the whole album is perfect, from start to finish, all the way. I'll never understand the bashers, so what? the sound isn't perfect oooooo All that said I voted for "Vapor Trail"
  16. Other than a little bit of a "blown speaker sound" on "How it is" and "Out of the Cradle" I haven't really noticed the bad production that much unless I try to play the album through a surround sound system, in which case its unlistenable due to the bass overpowering everything
  17. QUOTE (Nickslikk2112 @ Mar 21 2007, 04:57 PM) And your post isn't? I get it, your talking Vapor Trails Quick question, are you under 40? If so what are you doing listening to Rush, pick somebody from your own cultural milieu. If you are over 40 then you should be sitting at a computer keyboard all day long complaing about how Rush are shit compared to what they used to be Seriously whats the point of posting in these type of threads? Do you really have nothing better to do? This reminds me of the Dream Theater harassment. What does age have to do with anything? Obviously some of us older than 40 still whine about not getting their own way. We get the point that you find absolutly no redeeming qualities in Vapor Trails, or new Rush at all, it stopped being funny awhile ago. to contribute to the thread: You guys don't like "The Stars Look Down"? I love the guitar bit right after Geddy's falsetto. What is Neil trying to say in the lyrics? I think they're neat. Vapor Trails doesn't really have any weak tracks. Usually I say "Ghost Rider" but even that one is my favorite some days. "Out of the Cradle" is a great closer, the best since "Available Light"
  18. Radiohead - Kid A They have to be the best band since Rush, I can't think of any other.
  19. Yes - Tales from Topographic Oceans Call me strange but so far this' my favorite of Yes' albums, and I've never been a very big Yes fan either. o_O
