  1. I'm never over excited waiting for a new Rush release these days, Well aware they move at snail pace now.. I can wait, have other things to occupy my time.
  2. My oldest sister had all there albums, I remember as a kid watching there tv show every Saturday afternoon. A local obscure cable station still has the Monkees part of there programming. Tried to watch for nostalgia sake just couldn't make it through a entire episode, didn't age well way to hokey and stupid. But they did prove they were a legit band and made some really catchy songs that still sound good to this day... Very sad.....
  3. I don't know if this fits the topic but, I can go the rest of my life without hearing AC/DC & Ozzy would not upset me in the least, matter of fact it would be awesome!!!.. Soooo sick of hearing them at work around the clock from everyone's radio Canton's boring rock station WRQK. btw Proud to be a fan from the heartland of the majority of TRF'ers most hated performers and rock acts. Springsteen & John Mellencamp I get it... Fine if you don't! Oh and Dylan and Lou Reed yeah i like them also.. Just listened to Reed's New York album brilliant one of my all time favorites..
  4. The very last thing Rush will do is a Best of Tom Sawyer cd/dvd collection of all the live recorded concert versions of the song. The blu ray edition will include as a bonus the Le Studio recording session music video...

  7. Hello! Hello people! And welcome to It's a Tree...
  8. A tie between Roll The Bones & T4E, both had songs that are stuck in the time they were made dated themes. Although i do like to listen T4E on occasion, I can't listen to RTB at all...
  9. Artful Dodger (American band from Virginia) Were only popular in Cleveland & Pittsburgh. They Opened for Rush at Akron Caress Of Steel tour I believe. Still do reunion shows once in awhile at Agora ballroom. The Connells....
  10. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Jan 22 2012, 09:15 PM) Midnight in Paris. Great film. I approach any new Woody Allen film like I do any upcoming new Rush album. Wish and long for the days of there creative peak that they will somehow capture the spark once again and make something truly great from start to finish.. But more often then not settle for good enough. Ditto for Allen films, sure the era of classics like Annie Hall, Manhattan are long over. His movies been hit or miss last twenty years but think Woody has been on a upswing last couple of projects, perhaps because he films in Europe now and in particular Spain opens up a whole new world for him, and NYC finally was getting tiresome and uninspired, change was good.
  11. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Jan 21 2012, 01:02 AM) Insidious What did you think of it Test? I thought it was decent but not as good or scary as some of the reviews I read hyped it.
  12. QUOTE (Nate2112 @ Jan 20 2012, 06:06 PM) QUOTE (Del_Duio @ Jan 20 2012, 08:39 AM) what I think is the best of the Fox animation domination block by FAR: American Dad! HUGE rip off of Family Guy! Kind of hard not to in some degree, since Seth is creator of both..
  13. I hate Bob's Burgers, I really liked Napoleon Dynamite "the movie" but this is to silly and wayyy to late trying cash in, just doesn't work.. And in reverse like many classic SNL skits made terrible movies many years to late they came out with the Coneheads movie.
  14. QUOTE (Tick @ Jan 4 2012, 11:42 AM) QUOTE (softfilter @ Jan 1 2012, 10:54 PM) Caught up on DVR, finished season finale.. All I got to say is Didn't like the way last three episodes went, not going to spoil but i kept saying to myself WHY?? NOT THAT, WHAT THE HELL!!!???? Just proves you can't please everyone. I thought the show was brilliant from beginning to end. but that's just me. I very much look forward to season 2. Don't get me wrong, AHS is one of the most interesting original tv series in a long time, I just wish... SPOILER??? They would slow down a little on the "living" character assassinations...

  16. QUOTE (Invisible To Telescopic Eye @ Dec 24 2011, 08:18 AM) QUOTE (softfilter @ Dec 15 2011, 04:21 PM) http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/spirit3trails/220px-Americathon.jpg I remember this!!! It used to play on HBO back in the late 70's early 80's!!! I actually paid to see this at the theater.... (Really it wasn't completely awful from the bits and pieces I remember.)
  17. QUOTE (HowItIs @ Dec 25 2011, 11:50 PM) Here's a couple that some of you might recall, if you're old and weird like me: Quark and When Things Were Rotten. The latter was Mel Brook's Robin Hood show that he later scavenged for Robin Hood: Men In Tights. Both didn't last more than 13 weeks.... Yep, I mentioned Quark already the space garbage collector ship I don't remember When Things were Rotten, possibly on ABC? How about The Slap Maxwell story starring Dabney Coleman, liked him in Buffalo Bill but this just didn't work, toned down his sarcasm and dark sense of humor..... Lasted one season.
  18. In the middle 80's(84-86) I had a ton of them part of the Paisley Underground movement, Brought on by the success of R.E.M. The Long Ryders were a favorite of mine along with The Three O Clock, Wire Train,Lets Active, The Connells who had one hit called 74-75, should of been way more popular cause they have some solid fantastic albums great song writing well crafted music that's still sounds fresh even to this day- " Boylan Heights, One Simple Word" on heavy rotation
  19. Besides Under the Milky way found Starfish album extremely Never wasted my time on The Church again, you can call me Faithless...
  20. QUOTE (librarian @ Dec 19 2011, 06:27 PM) What about the show, Real People, anyone remember that one??? Very popular, we use to watch it every week. Chris Elliott in Get A Life, started out funny then became strange and funny!!! (I have the complete series on vhs box set )
  21. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/spirit3trails/011BrownsBobBW300h361w.jpg Bob's bar in Cleveland's warehouse district good place to hang out before heading to the factory of sadness known as Browns stadium, and afterward drown your sorrows and bitch about how much they suck!! Ignored Saved by the Bell completely, once again I remembered another NBC failure the short lived "Quark" starring Richard Benjamin aboard a outer space garbage collecting ship.
  22. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b216/spirit3trails/Buffalo_bill-show.jpg This was a great show starring Dabney Coleman and Geena Davis very funny! Other NBC shows come to mind from the late 70's, Project U.F.O produced by Jack Webb based on the Project Blue Book US government UFO file. Didn't last long maybe a couple years but I thought it was well done reminded me of a early version of the X-Files. And around the same time frame and worth forgetting and remaining "obscure"..... SUPERTRAIN Derailed right from the get go!!!!
