QUOTE (Cygnys @ Jul 22 2010, 01:55 PM) sauCCCCCCCCCCCCCe! Sorry, I had to take 1001001 and wipe my emotional-guy. Geez, all I originally said was: WTG RUSH! Perfect song for the delusional religious in America. "Everybody got to elevate from the norm..." is that really soooo horrible? My comment has a Rushy overtone does it not, and Rush wrote the song "Faithless" and is performing it at your cost and in your face, so shouldn't you blame your hero's and ban yourselves from their concerts? Discuss... That first post of yours wasn't horrible, but it was a little more personally religious that we like to see outside of our politics forum, but you didn't know that at the time. But since that post, our restrictions on religious discussion have been made clear to you, and not only did you choose to ignore it, you did so in a really childish manner. If you had stopped after that first post we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I assume you have that problem -- sorry to hear it (no pun intended). My sister has it pretty bad now, and I'm right at that point where I have to wear ear protection every time I'm in a loud environment to avoid getting full-blown tinnitus.

QUOTE (Tarkus407 @ Jul 22 2010, 01:35 PM) Oh my, what have I been missing the past few days? Why, Cygnys! Why! Something about this guy reminds me of someone. Yeah, that guy from that thread. He couldn't stop talking about that thing he did. It may have involved donkeys?

We're not in the habit of locking threads or banning people here. It's only done in extreme cases. You have gotten two threads locked today. You don't think it's YOUR behavior causing that to happen? Hang on here. I seem to recall a major banning phase just the other day. Remember when you locked all those sub forums? wait a minute............. Well, that was different. Donkeys were being abused, and people didn't put the chicken salad away. And someone left the cake out...in the rain. Oh no. I still say the donkeys asked for it and that cake! Well. There's nothing you can say about that one can you? Hey! As for the cake. I don't think that I can take it, 'cause it took so long to bake it. And I'll never have that recipe AGAIN!!!! Maybe we're better off. It was a Bundt cake.

Wow...please tell me you're not an adult. It would make more sense if you weren't. Again, you are taking your strategy straight from the Internet Trolling Guide. Act like a troll, get warned about your trollish behavior, ignore the warning, cry about your rights being trampled on, cry oppression when a thread is closed...then start another thread and cry oppression again. Now, if we close this thread, and then ban you, you'll just sit there and scream, "See? They're oppressing my opinions because the truth hurts!" Right?
-
So, you're a maple tree then? The other thread wasn't closed because we're oppressive tyrants trying to keep people down. I know you trolls like to think that way because it justifies your actions, but it ain't the case, I'm afraid. As I explained in that last post, it was closed because the religious discussion had gotten to the point where it was no longer about Neil's lyrics, and it had gotten offensive. Again, expressing your opinion is fine. Expressing it in a disrespectful manner is not. You don't seem to be able to grasp that distinction. Or, you do grasp it, and you just want to act like a troll because you think it's fun. Either way, your first six posts have been utterly useless, and it's clear you have no interest in contributing to this forum in a respectful manner. And I can't believe I've wasted this much time on you.

SPOILER ALERT - Question about triggered effects
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 replied to Synthetic's topic in On The Lighted Stage
QUOTE (Synthetic @ Jul 22 2010, 12:29 PM)Since no one answered my ON TOPIC question in a closed thread - are they triggering the strings in Faithless or skipping them altogether? [laughing out loud right now] [Me too. ] But your question about triggering samples in that song is a good one. I've yet to see a show this tour -- maybe check out YouTube and see if someone posted a vid of that song from one of the shows. -

QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Jul 22 2010, 11:41 AM) Not pissed, really...just a tinge of sadness. Kerry decided to start packing away his Legos...his room looks so different now. On the plus side, we could probably add on to the house using the 3 gazillion bricks... Also, I registered him for 7th grade today. When I first got into all this internet/Rush stuff, he was only 6. As long as he doesn't pack away Woody or Buzz....

Poopchutes & Bladders Tour had MORE surprises
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 replied to Phallic's Lifeson's topic in On The Lighted Stage
QUOTE (Phallic's Lifeson @ Jul 22 2010, 01:29 AM) Stating that those five songs were surprises was not an opinion. Yes, it was an opinion. I know what you're getting at as far as what constitutes a "surprise," but any song they play besides those four or five "must play" classic songs and any new songs are technically surprises. Are we going to sit here and argue semantics all night? I posted at you because you used your second post on this board to give someone attitude. There are better ways to introduce yourself. Welcome to the board, BTW. -

QUOTE (Phallic's Lifeson @ Jul 22 2010, 01:23 AM) You disagree that Entre Nous, Mission, Circumstances, Digital Man, and A Passage To Bangkok were 5 complete surprises and that this current tour contains less surprises than last tour? Wow. Someone doesn't pay attention. "Someone doesn't pay attention"? Nice attitude, guy. He disagreed with your opinion. It's a message board, that sort of thing happens here. -

Who is this band Rush you speak of? You talk so glowing about them. I must look into them, maybe take in a concert of theirs... -

Look at all those songs! That chord progression is like the modern day I-VI-IV-V.

Let's Face It ... The First Set Sucks

I have probably heard Freewill played more than any other Rush song on US radio. Even more than Tom Sawyer. Must be a regional thing. I hear Limelight too much as well, to a point where I don't get all that excited about it anymore. I suppose that is the reason for a lot of the setlist angst you see going on here.... any classic rock station in the middle third of the country plays a good chunk of this setlist every day. I'll buy the regional thing. Here in the northeast, we hear the big four on the radio -- "TSOR," "TS," "CTTH" and "Limelight" -- and rarely anything else. what about fly by night as well? we hear that one in the rock n roll capital all the time. Yeah, that one could be added to that list. I hear it played here pretty often here. -
QUOTE (pedro2112 @ Jul 21 2010, 01:52 AM) You guys must have seen a different version than I. Same old "use cute facial expressions" and "obligatory disco dance scene" crap that we've been shoveled over the last ten years or so. To even compare this piece of mediocre, tepid backwash to anything Pixar has done is a complete travesty. You mean, this? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v318/1001001/pixar_vs_dw.jpg
