  1. Coming out of the woodwork like a few peeps here. Just wanted to chime in with condolences to all. I'm absolutely gutted hearing this news
  2. Hellbound has always been my fave. "We have eternity to KNOW YOUR FLESH" <shudder>
  3. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Sep 26 2009, 11:34 AM)QUOTE (Tammeh @ Sep 26 2009, 03:31 PM) I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. Still, a must-see for any and all Trailer Park Boys fans and I'll be at the opening night for their next movie, whenever that may be. There will be no next movie...This is it for TPB apparently. That could very well be but I wouldn't be surprised if there's something more in the years to come.
  4. I saw this last night. As far as ALL the TPBs shows and movies go, I thought it was the weakest. Story line, meh. Not enough other characters - you got to see Cyrus but he didn't speak, that was it, you only got to see him and I hoped there would be more with him as well as others. Not enough (or any, really) Ricky-isms. It was fun to keep my eyes peeled for the "Alex sighting." You gotta look hard, you may not recognize him Check out the credits at the end to see his. Also, don't get up and leave right away as there's a "J to the R-O-C" clip. I'd give it a 2.5 out of 5. Still, a must-see for any and all Trailer Park Boys fans and I'll be at the opening night for their next movie, whenever that may be.
  5. I was like, what the hell is this, Barn. Then I saw Simon Pegg as Lt. Montgomery Scott .... sweet \m/
  6. Thank you for the tip, I am going to check that one out.
  7. Tonight we watched Get Smart. While an "ok" movie on it's own, it's a pale comparison to the original series. The best parts were the old stand-bys like "would you believe...." "missed it by *that* much" and "your shoe is ringing." Was a bit of a slow starter but did improve. I'd give it a 6/10. That was actually the second movie of a double-header tonight - the first movie we watched was Army of Darkness (for the 100th time )
  8. I never cared for James Spader but since Boston Legal I really like him.
  9. QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Jun 16 2008, 04:27 AM) QUOTE (raygun47 @ Jun 15 2008, 06:20 PM) QUOTE (the masked drummer @ Jun 14 2008, 10:51 AM) Is there really a DVD coming out or is it a hoax? You would think there would be an announcement at dreamtheater.net wouldn't you? hmmm Definitely. I've heard Mike talk about it a few times. It won't be a "show," but many shows from the tour...like 5 Years in a Livetime. He had planned on doing an "in-store" thing with Mikael Akerfeldt, but it didn't happen. He said he wanted to use it on the dvd. If you want the latest news...go to mikeportnoy.com forums. He does everything there first. That's great news! I like the complete concerts, but the 5YIAL concept with all those kewl little snippets and cameos of other bands, musicians, is great, too. Looking fwd to it!!! They were definitely filming the Vancouver show on May 6th
  10. I will definitely buy it! I am over the top with joy over the news that DT will be playing in VANCOUVER on May 6th. YIPPEE!!! They've never been to BC before. I've seen them twice in Seattle in '03 and '04, that's the closest. Before that it had been 8 years since they'd been to Seattle.

    Laugh-In

QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Feb 13 2008, 05:31 AM)We need to find the clip of Nixon saying "Sock it to me!" Politicians don't do stuff like that anymore. No, I'm not making this political, I'm just sayin'. Please, no one else make it political, either. Thanks! I loved watching Laugh-In. At work some 20+ years ago we did a christmas skit that was like Laugh-In where we'd be dancing then stop and say some stupid joke. Was tons of fun! The reason I quoted Jack's post was because of his politician note. That is sad but true in the US but I gotta tell ya it is alive and well in Canada. Even our current Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, who is labelled a "robot" has been in some of the funniest comedy sketches ever. I love when they do this. Ok I won't say anything more "politicky"
  12. I love this movie! One of my all time faves that I can watch again and again and never tire of it. I recently bought this Sinbad collection from ebay: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b267/Tammeh69/sinbadcollectiondvd.jpg
