  1. i had to make a choice...SA Live.... :rush:
  2. love the fact of Gedd collaborating on a Bass Guitar History book etc...but I do LOVE much much more seeing him onstage playing the bass as he did with Yes, my happiest day since the sadly remembered 8/2/2015.....too young to say good bye I think..... :geddy:
  3. Is Alex Lifeson the original guitarist???......no original members in this band Rush huh?
  4. Was , is and will be forever Number ONE :rush:
  5. Geddy is still going strong developing new Equipment /Basses ( Tech21 Ged-2112 /Gretsch Geddy Bass) in search of his perfekt bass tone , buying vintage basses, playing Ox´s Franken Bass in London...Alex has been doing his own thing too...I have not given up yet on seeing them (at least 2/3 of Rush) playing...I just watched a video of Stevie Nicks going strong live at 68! ....so I still think Rush´s retirement was a little bit too premature.....great artists never really retire......I think.
  6. the 57 P bass he played on Roll the Bones R40....
  7. I see Gedd developing equipment with Tech 21 for "new projects", checking basses at shops like a teenager and Alex also working with Gibson on new guitars....there seems to be a reason beyond cash grabbing....I hope
  8. Gedd is checking out basses like a teenager and developing new equipment (GED-2112); has not terminated Skully McIntosh for sure.....there has got to be a good musical reason I be, not only to have those beauties hung on his studio´s walls..... :codger:
  9. white snake always sounded to me like a deep purple tribute....might be wrong but ....
  10. seems that Neil has separated from the other boyz....I know he has been very reserved since long ago but I think this is a little bit too much....IMHO
  11. why not Wooten vs Ox vs Sheehan vs Marcus vs Jaco vs Chris.....let´s leave poor geddy for a moment.....
  12. VT is a happy album...makes me happy :D ...SA and CA nope.... :tsk:
  13. Chris´ early Yes bass tone hooked me up on YES...liked ELP too though
  14. for some reason I never really considered buying it.....I am so disapointed with Time Stand still DVD that I could not stand another slap in da face.....now with your post I am sure I will pass :tsk:
  15. "The Trees" is the truly one of the best songs to play along to on the drums. Never gets old!!! I wrote a paper in college based on The Trees lyrics. I compared to racism. The oaks are the white man. The maples are the African American. "And they wonder why the maples can't be happy in their shade." I got an A on my paper. Of course I could be completely wrong, but it was a fun paper to write. The Trees is just too serious musically to be a "joke" song lyrically...I think. :finbar: .the bass ( Ricky crunched) break is unforgettable....every part of the song smokes
  16. I forgot Red Barchetta...does not get any better as far as bass solos is concerned....fast , furious, funky...great tone....
  17. As much as I love bass guitar I find bass solos boring by themselves....I prefer 100% quick snapshots of funky dosages or like Leave that thing alone/Freewill/Show don´t tell the bass" solo" inserted as part of the song...that is what really grabs me by the..... :7up:
  18. Í can´t agree more......any :rush: set list is kind of bass´ solos list!
  19. Yeap...that was cool..... :rush: was always cool....was , did I say??..... :|
  20. agreed at 100%....as long as he keeps on digging da bass I really do not have any problem.... :geddy:
