  1. I empathise with this, it's a fantastic song. When I heard it live it was magical.
  2. Probably a post that has been battered to death with over usage, but I'm curious to hear answers, so here goes it. There's a new law that restricts everyone to have one Rush song to listen to, their favourite one. Without any smart answers here, what's your favourite Rush song, (the one you choose) and why? After long deliberation and vacillation, mine is Presto, because it's my favourite Rush song and I never get sick of listening to it no matter how many times it comes on shuffle. It's hard though!!
  3. I'm wondering what do you guys consider to be the greatest lyric (or verse!) Neil has ever written? For me it's a toss up between 1) "We are only immortal for a limited time" or else 2) "From first to last, the peak is never passed. Something always fires the light that gets in your eyes". 3) The bridge part from Presto - "Don't ask me, i'm just improvising...." What do you think?
  4. Alien Shore Like A Stone in the river Against the floods of spring I will quietly resist
  5. There is a fine LINE between love and illusion.
  6. 5 songs from Clockwork Angels? I highly doubt that. Prime Mover would be great to hear though
  7. I've been looking through several of the discussions on the forum lately, and CA seems to be a scapegoat almost in terms of dislike. What I wanna know is, am I the only person on here who would place CA in their top 5 Rush Albums, or even likes the album itself?
  8. You've got 3 of my top 5 I want to hear Cut To The Chase Vapor Trail The Weapon My other 2 would be Show Don't Tell and Cinderella Man. And yes I'd be stunned if I heard any of them. I LOVE cinderella man.. it's one of my favourites
  9. Yeah...they did a lot of the later 80's and 90's stuff last tour.... Maybe a vocal-less kind of thing like the R30 tour for some of the more classic stuff? Hard to tell at this point. I think he'd blow a vocal chord or heck even his testicles if he tried "SCREAM OUT DESPERATION...BUT....." lol. right.......that's why i'm like......guys you ARE kidding right? He barely made Time stands Still on the Time Machine Tour, lol Mick If you call it "Time standS still" with an "S" after stand, then i can't take you seriously. Also, I was in attendence for the Time Machine Show In Dublin and Time Stand Still was awesome, so.....
  10. As you guys probably know at this stage i love compiling set lists and general lists of songs. I had this idea the other day that i might make a couple of playlists to incorporate every Rush song ever, but putting them into 4 or 5 groups so they aren't too long. Possible Ideas - Decades (70s,80s,90s,00s,) Alphabetical order (Might be ridiculous, who knows) So, what are your thoughts on this?
  11. I'm not sure, but I hope they will play Europe in the autumn 2015, maybe September or October. I live in Sweden so I'd like to see them go to Europe as well. Let's hope there will be a European leg on this tour! I hope so too, man. I think it'd be a major kick in the teeth to their european fans if there wasnt
  12. The tour was released yesterday, and obviously i'm buzzing. However, as a citizen of Ireland, I'm gravely disappointed that this tour is only a North American one, and so I won't get to see the guys this time. Then i began to think further. Have they done their last "big" tour in the Time Machine Tour? Will I ever see Rush perform again?
  13. That first set would just kill the crowd right off the bat. You have no massive crowd pleasing song until CTTH. This set is certainly more fantasy than realistic I'm gonna try and come up with my own realistic set and post it here. I didn't think there was much wrong my first set... While not big hitters they have gotten good reactions from the crowd in recent years. A tad harsh I think.
