  1. I was at both shows. Even though I had floor tickets for Wednesday and upper deck cheap seats for Friday, I still enjoyed Friday infinitely more! The band played so much better and they seemed less nervous and had more fun. This made the crowd much more into it (also people are more hyper on weekends in general) which elevated the whole experience. Add to that a performance of Losing It and you have a perfect show that I'll remember forever. Having said all of that, if I had only gone on Wednesday I still would have been happy since it was still a great show overall.
  2. I went to both Toronto shows and had a great time at both but yesterday was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I can't believe I was there for it. These were actually my first two Rush shows ever too.
  3. By far my favourite Rush album. Released when I was three years old so I discovered it much later though lol
  4. I've never been to a Rush concert before but these are what I really want to hear more than anything: 1. The Enemy Within 2. Subdivisions 3. Jacob's Ladder 4. La Villa Strangiato 5. YYZ looking at prior setlists, it looks like YYZ and Subdivisions are a lock for every show so I just have to keep some hope for the others :)
  5. Woah that is a lot of stuff going on at the same time. Usually NXNE has a huge free outdoor concert at Dundas Square which would be the same night. I saw Devo and also The Stooges play there for free in previous years. Although the gay pride festival draws about a million people, most people will be coming in for the following weekend since that is when the actual parade is. Still a packed schedule though so hotels will be a bit more expensive. Good thing Toronto is a big city with lots of hotels lol
  6. zero. But I will be going to the two Toronto shows coming up! :)
  7. I had row 10 loaded up just in the pre-sale link. I passed and thought "no you can't afford it!". Then I caved and got row 21. lol. That's still good enough for me!
  8. People with Toronto Maple Leafs season tickets have been able to buy tickets for a week already. My friend got some.
  9. I was trying to decide which Toronto show to go to but then I just decided I will go to both. I've never seen Rush play before but it sounds like my chances are winding down so I should just jump at any opportunity!
  10. I have a question about the presale tickets. Can you buy cheaper seats or do they only sell the most expensive seats in the presale? Like if I wanted to get a good row but in the cheapest seats... would that be possible?
  11. In the email it says you can use the presale code or just buy from http://rush.shop.ticketstoday.com/ ? Does anyone know the differences between buying from that site or Ticketmaster? Is there advantages to either one?

So I'm 34 years old so I clearly wasn't at this concert but recently I was mentioning to my Dad that I've become obsessed with Rush over the past year because I knew it's a band he used to really like. He told me he went with my mom to the concert where they recorded All The World's A Stage at Massey Hall! I was so jealous to hear that! haha. He also mentioned that he saw Iron Maiden play their first ever Canadian show in 1981 with their original singer which also blew me away! My parents were very young when I was born so a lot of my musical tastes line up with my Dad's tastes. My mom hates rock music though so I think it's really funny that he took her to the Rush concert! I wonder if you can hear her complaining in the crowd noise of the album. lol
  13. I suppose if Rush were to play at the Molson Ampitheatre again, then they would have the lawn seats open.. .which aren't seats, just standing on a lawn. That would be just fine for me! Although I would be pretty far back then...
  14. Rats. Not what I was hoping for but at least it will save me some money. lol Thanks a lot for answering though!
  15. In preparation for the upcoming tour announcement and my plan to buy tickets, I had a question for those that have watched Rush play in Toronto on the more recent tours. I have noticed that Rush usually play at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto although they did play a second show at the Molson Ampitheatre in 2012 alongside their other show at the ACC. So my question is if you buy floor seats to a Rush concert at the Air Canada Centre or Molson Ampitheatre, is it general admission or do they set up actual seats on the floor? I'm asking because I love general admission floors and would pay more for that but if they just set up seats on the floor then I would probably just buy seats a bit further back to save money. Thanks for anyone who knows the answer to this. This will be my very first Rush concert so I'm trying to get all my money and plans prepared in my head way too far in advance! :)
