KISS is just so nostalgic for me because they were one of the first bands I became utterly obsessed with around age 13 (other one was John Lennon).They were just different from anything I had ever seen before at the time. Now, I can acknowledge all of their many faults, but I still f***ing love them. They were the first band that I saw in an arena as well (Farewell Tour May 16, 2000). So many great memories.

I read your review of side 2 of 2112, and must simply say, to each his own :). I will politely disagree with you though. While side 1 is one of Rush's undisputed masterpieces, side 2 gets the short end of the stick in comparison a lot of times. It seems pretty unfair to me because it's a good selection of songs of a different nature. Passage to Bangkok and Lessons both have admirable rockin grooves. Twilight Zone is corny in a good way and really captures the mood of the show. Tears is kind of a clunker compared to the rest, but still pleasant to hear Ged getting all sentimental and expressive. Something for Nothing...pure ball busting, crash in your face rock of the best kind. As the official co-ambassadress of 2112, I declare my duty done. Good day to you

Don't remember exactly when, but it had to have been Tom Sawyer back in my early teen years when I was really getting into music. That one was the only song I knew for sure was by them, lol. And for some reason, I always compared Journey to Rush...as in Journey was the femmie version of Rush. Don't ask me why I did that because I don't remember.

^^ Ha, yes, I've never even asked my main artist to "copy" a picture onto me. Kalin is great at turning ideas into grand art. I tend to let him go in his own direction and he has never let me down. Was just curious to see what people here might dream up.

I like that idea maybe for a back of the leg piece. I could maybe incorporate those lyrics around a picture of a girl literally standing on a ledge in front of a seascape, turning her head around or up to look at the stars...I wish I could think of a way to incorporate the razors edge part as well...perhaps make the ledge really narrow and sharp looking. Options, options.

This may be somewhat premature and cheesy, but I'm just looking for ideas... So, I'm thinking a picture tatt based around lyrics from the pass could be very meaningful to me.
