I got into that kind of metal relatively late, so I never had much of that stuff on vinyl. I have Priest and Maiden on CDs, but I'll add 'em to the list! I want to get back to reliving my teenage years - sitting on my beanbag in a dimly lit room and listening to records. I also need to buy a beanbag...

I'm going vinyl hunting at this huge antiques warehouse this weekend, and I have a few things I want to look for. I collected records when I was a kid but gave a bunch away, stupidly, when CDs were the rage. I kept all the ones that were really important to me at the time. I've seen a few lists online - 50 albums you must own on vinyl, etc. - but I wouldn't mind knowing what my TRF friends consider to be essential records to have on vinyl. I'm thinking of things that you sit on the couch and listen to, holding the album sleeve on your lap.

I've been known to be casually dismissive of a pop song by referring to it as "one of those verse verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus chorus things."

I thought TAAB2 was pretty horrendous. It would be great to get that lineup of Barre, Evan, Hammond, Anderson and Barlow back together. And Palmer.
