  1. Thank you so much for your help everyone. I was okay for a little while, but am suffering from vomiting each time I eat again. I had a cold glass of water and a couple of bites of food, and got sick. I think I know what I might have, though. There is something called 'Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome', which is when a person experiences intense vomiting episodes for no specific cause. I have all of the symptoms of it - it can cause abdominal pain, fever, headaches, lethargy, lack of appetite, and of course the nausea and vomiting. I've done some research on it and can't find any information on what causes it, or what cures it.
  2. My clock is flashing at 12:12 am, which of course would indicate the power was interrupted at some point twelve minutes ago. I have my aquarium light on as well as a wax burner and did not notice any flicker. I believe this was a sign from my Dad. This makes me feel glad, but like crying at the same time.
  3. Someone hacked into my image hosting account. I have lost hundreds of images of my family, my pets, and me. That's okay. Do unto thee times three...
  4. Great to hear you are sticking around. You are such a positive addition to the TRF family. Aw, thank you. :) I'm feeling much better than I was this morning.
  5. Sorry to hear about what you were subjected to. Some people just have no clue how to behave. But I'm glad you're feeling better, and have decided to stick around :) Thank you, Your_Lion. :)
  6. Thanks everyone. I guess I'll come back for now, but I probably won't be posting as often. I'm feeling better emotionally. :)
  7. I'll be away from the forums for a while because someone decided it was okay to message me while they were drunk and hit on me. Sort of ruined the experience and my opinion of other people right now. I'm struggling with depression as it is. I'll still be responding to PM's, though. Bye for now. http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/bye/crying-sad-waving-bye-smiley-emoticon.gif
  8. Here's a few more Lucy pictures: http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Lucy/WIN_20150612_151256_zps4xrzrqw9.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Lucy/WIN_20150612_152031_zpsbwyyasv3.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Lucy/WIN_20150612_151218_zpslng0jw1j.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Lucy/WIN_20150612_151735_zpsrjxhbmyr.jpg
  9. Lucy resting in her favorite spot: http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Pets/WIN_20150612_135545_zpsa9sagdey.jpg I wish she wouldn't lay in there, because I do not like that bathroom. She seems to enjoy it, though.
  10. Lucas: Hi, thanks for the advice! I have never tried a probiotic supplement. ladirushfan80: I agree with the connection between health and activity level; the worse you feel health-wise, the less you are able to accomplish both physically and emotionally. I wonder if perhaps my poor diet is contributing to my severe depression as well; I remember when I was on a vegan diet I really did not experience depression quite as often as I do now. It would make sense, as everything is tied together. I love epsom salt baths! I used to take those all of the time. Unfortunately we have no bathtub here. :( I do live near the ocean, however - it's about a 5-10 minute drive. It seems that the ocean has healing and purification qualities as well, especially combined with a nice dose of vitamin D from the sun, as you mentioned.
  11. Is anyone familiar with pallas cats? They are my new favorite animal... (Sorry for such a long post, but these are so cute!) http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Cute%20Animals/giphy_zps0ywozg39.gif http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Cute%20Animals/205a94b842cad968e986f953c5c95d61_zpsauanurmv.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Cute%20Animals/pallas_zpsdydjd8pd.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Cute%20Animals/346346_zpsb45swtdc.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/Cute%20Animals/15obn-PallasCat2_zpsqfb9qony.jpg
  12. troutman: Hi, thank you! ladirushfan80: Thank you so much for taking the time to write that! You gave some very excellent advice! I wish your ex step-daughter a healthy recovery. To be honest, I have been neglecting my health; I consume a lot of processed and unhealthy foods that probably shouldn't even be considered edible, and I am not as active as I used to be. I go for walks or go bicycling in the evening, but my activity level is relatively low for the remaining hours of the day as I'm not working currently. For a while I was on a very, very strict vegan diet and drank only tea and water - fruits, vegetables, water, and tea; nothing else. While I was on that diet I both felt and looked incredibly healthy. Perhaps that's what I need to do again. I've wondered that as well, that maybe I'm not producing enough stomach acid to digest food. I was told by my GI doctor to take acid reducers everyday, because I have chronic gastritis and I had my gallbladder removed two years ago. The water with lemon, apple cider vinegar or ginger sounds awesome! I am going to try that. I used to boil sliced ginger root in a tea kettle and make a ginger tea, and add about a tablespoon of honey. That was really good, too.
  13. Ricky with a hat: http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/WIN_20150610_133720_zpso4xcqzmp.jpg :P He's not really wearing a hat, of course... behind him are my Mom's toothbrush with a cup over it so the cats don't mess with it.
  14. Your_Lion: Hi Your_Lion, thank you. :) It really means a lot that so many people care. I've been able to keep certain foods down like soups, but they still upset my stomach. I've noticed that beverages like hot teas and ginger ale (Cold, of course. :D) are helpful as well. Narps: Thank you, Narps. :) I hope that you are feeling better, too! My avatar is an image of Cher. :) ILSnwdog: Thank you so much, ILSnwdog. I will definitely message them! satchmothesnowdog: Sorry everyone; I didn't know anyone else had posted in this thread until this morning. I did just attempt to eat something but as usual I am not feeling well. I feel sick almost instantly after eating. :(
  15. One more kitty picture: http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/oie_yNHbVrP81t2Z_zpspelxatsp.jpg
  16. BeautifulShe looks a lot like my Bramble, who passed away back in March Thanks Your_Lion. I'm so sorry about your kitty Bramble. Pandora had to be put to sleep the day before Halloween. My other cat Stormy was put to sleep just two weeks before Christmas, that same year. So I lost my Father and both cats in 2012. That was an extremely difficult year for me. I got Lucy and Ricky shortly after Christmas. Ironically they were born on my Dad's birthday. Actually, here's a couple of pictures of Stormy: http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/WIN_20150608_092031_zpsmouzqfj6.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/WIN_20150608_092056_zpsxtca173f.jpg If anyone is wondering what's in the background of the second image, my Mom was working on setting up our Christmas village.
  17. This is something I would like to share with you guys; this was my kitty Pandora who passed away the same year my Father did. I have a news paper clipping about her from when she was up for adoption. http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/y471/CygnusX1YYZ/GLWb9vPJhOX3_zpswlfswvce.jpg It reads: If this Angel had wings, she would probably want to use them to fly back to the family she lost a few months ago. (Of course, Angel's wings would have to be extra large to accommodate her full figure.) Kitties can't fly, however, so Angel must wait at our shelter for a new family to love. Angel is a two-year-old gray tiger and white girl who came to our facility when her family could no longer care for her. While she tolerates living with 11 other feline roomies, she would prefer to spend her time with humans. She loves to be petted, and as anyone can see, she is definitely not a picky eater. Angel is declawed, house trained, spayed, and up to date with shots and she would be happiest in a home with adults or older children. She is hoping to meet a human 'angel' who will take her away from her life as a shelter cat and bring her into a heavenly, loving home. I cry every time I read it.
  18. 19. I wouldn't worry about a colonoscopy at all and they won't hide anything from you. Doctors are very frank about why they are ordering tests. Colonoscopies are an absolute breeze as long as your doctor doing the consult says you're going to be out, which most do. If he/she doesn't, leave and find another :) I had one and couldn't remember shit. No pain, no recollection, nothing. It sounds like they are testing for Diverticulitis , which seems like a weird first stab, but that's only a guess on my part. You could be right! Hopefully that's all they were concerned about.
  20. Thank you guys so much. I don't really know that many people here personally, but I love you all. TRF is a family to me.
  21. I'm glad to hear she is better. :) That's very interesting; I am incredibly sensitive to many things, so perhaps that could be contributing to everything that is making me sick.
