  1. I want a tattoo but never can decide on which one. Almost everybody my age got tattoos so it's soon more special not to have one
  2. Alien Shore. Some really nice arpeggios from Alex :guitar:
  3. You can do a lot in a lifetime if you don't burn out too fast ;)
  4. I went with The Body Electric. English is not my native language so it usually takes a lot of listening before I'm familiar with the lyrics. Heck, there is even Rush songs I don't know the lyrics to. It doesn't bother me, because (and this is probably due to me being a guitarist) I focus on the melody and the "delivery" of the lyrics. There is a certain place in The Body Electric that always sends shivers down my spine, and gives me goosebumps. It's not the lyrics but the way he sings them: Guidance systems break down A struggle to exist - to resist A pulse of dying power in a clenching plastic fist
  5. Jacob's Ladder for its moody atmosphere. Must add that Geddys vocals on Different Strings found a crack in my heart. Ask me tomorrow and I'll in all probability give you a different answer. Heard the whole record for the first time today, and had to put on my headphones to crank the stereo (late night listenings), and it is as usual awesome!
  6. Hey Kingdirk Hope you don't mind that I "interrupt" this thread. I bought a Permanent Waves LP today that looks like this: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7446/9019302402_161b4411b5_c.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7328/9018115777_1e328b82a8_c.jpg http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5348/9018117795_de3e527bdd_c.jpg and found it on discogs too (http://www.discogs.c...release/1758835) I wonder if you, or anyone else, would know how many of these were made? I know it's probably not a vinyl that's worth a whole lot, but I thought it would be nice to know. Thanks :)

  8. Some great pictures but some (from the other shows) seems a little "stalky" towards Neil.
  9. It already has their consent for they let them record it! And it was recorded in November. They definitely won't add footage from Sweden. What I meant was that the production company probably is awaiting approval for the final product. You know, they sit down watch it and go "That's beauty, eh?" But the most important thing is, we're getting a new live dvd
  10. This guy has the best bootlegs I have found http://youtu.be/QZB0PESQQjk :finbar:
  11. I don't honestly think they will release it on the date JFK was assassinated, and don't think it will have any footage from Sweden Rock Festival. It's probably already mixed and cut, and just waiting approval from the band, when they end this tour.
  12. They make everything I play sound horrible.
  13. Wow, sure am glad I didn't go to that show, even though Sweden is a neighboring country to Denmark. I know it's better than nothing, but more Rush is always better.
  14. Regarding Ziggo Dome as a venue: I was somewhat happy they hadn't sold out the venue (at least when the show was over). It felt way too crowded at some point, and thought to myself "if panic breaks out in here, I'm dead meat". At one point the queue to the restrooms went across where people were trying to get out. And that coin-system they use was annoying like hell. I had money on me and just wanted to get something to drink, and find a good spot in the hall. But the sound was the best I have ever heard at a venue! Ziggo Dome is definitely a venue I will return too, if the right band comes along.
  15. Oh my God, I feel like a kid in a "all-you-can-eat candy store"! :yay:  :guitar:
  16. Just posted a video in the Alex and Geddy threads, and I don't want to disappoint you. Recently stumpled upon this video with Neil, and you gotta love his sense of humor! Though it's not a picture I guess you won't mind. After all it's The Professor
  17. I just put a video up on the Geddy Is Hot Mk.II thread, and I'm feeling generous, so here's some Lerxst for ya :haz: Rush has such a tremendous sense of humor!
  18. I know this is a Geddy thread, but there are some good videos of Neil and Alex on the RMR. I should post them in the other threads ;)
  19. I keep hearing that women love men with a sense of humor, so ladies - this is for you :D
  20. I saw some bootlegs from other shows, and he looks the same so I guess that's just his "game-face". Rocking out and looking cool :Alex:
  21. I don't mind if some doesn't get emotionally stimulated by Clockwork Angels. But to say the production is horrendous ... can't take that serious. It is mastered very hot, but I don't notice any clipping. Kind of makes me think someone is listening to lossy mp3s. I bought the LP and downloaded the tracks as FLAC files afterwards, and it sounds great to my ears. When I spin the LP it is even better (can't be any better actually). To those who say the production is "crap", how do you feel it is compared to other modern music being made? Production-wise? I'm not trying to stir up a fight, but am genuinely curious :) At first it took me some time getting used to, I thought the arrangements were confusing with too many little parts. Over time it grew on me, and after seeing most of the album live, I think it's fantastic. My favorite tracks have shifted over time also. The Anarchist is one of my faves. There is something that reminds me The Camera Eye, that "here comes the hero to save the day" kind of vibe. Knowing what the The Anarchist is about, might have to get my brain checked  . Wish Them Well is still not there, but I like the heavy part in the middle or somewhere. The Garden is fantastic as is Clockwork Angels and The Wreckers. Heck, I like it all. I like the direction Rush has taken, and I can't fault them for wanna go somewhere else than they have gone before. Thank God they're not a nostalgia band.
