  2. In that case what I was going to say won't be of any help. You may have read about this incident at Yahoo! Finance today: QUOTE Parent Group and 11-Year-Old Child Escorted From American Academy of Pediatrics Convention Tuesday October 11, 11:18 am ET "We have the freedom of speech, but not the freedom to be heard," says one parent after being thrown out of conference in DC WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday morning, six parents and an 11-year-old child were removed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Convention. They were escorted by security officers after being told by coordinators that they were not welcome. The parents, two of which are medical professionals, were pre-registered to work at a booth and hand out materials to pediatricians about autism. Two camera crews were also escorted out prior to the ouster of the parent group so that the AAP's actions could not be recorded by the media. Full article
  3. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Oct 10 2005, 02:59 PM)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/RushBabe/Stephen/PICT0026_touched.jpg Best wishes to you, GhostGirl, and of course to Stephen, as well as to all your family and friends and the physicians working to treat Stephen's condition. I just read through the thread from start to finish. I wonder, did you ever get the test results from the hair samples you submitted? There's a reason I'm asking, but I prefer not to say anymore at this time. Thanks so much for sharing all of this. I feel privileged to have been included.
  4. QUOTE (defrushfan01 @ Sep 22 2005, 09:18 PM)Invest in WISHMASTER next. It took me a while to get into because i didnt lisen to it much, and man, i love that album. It just rocks. When you get it, or if you get it, play CROWNLESS, it rocks. It's been a pretty long time since I posted anything here. I gave Nightwish a rest over the past couple of months. Today, though, I got the urge to hear them again and randomly selected Wishmaster to get back into things.
  5. QUOTE (endlesslymocking @ Oct 10 2005, 11:36 AM) Which member without a title has the most posts? I believe that's war2112.
  6. "War Paint," 1:58. No more lame excuses It has to be tonight. Right then there's a great guitar fill, kind of dirty, dark, but exciting. Nice touch.
  7. QUOTE (Slaine mac Roth @ Oct 9 2005, 05:54 AM)ZEP or ZYRANNIX or ZZZ QUOTE (MrMiltonBanana)THE WHITE HORSE. AND slaine, zzz is all lowercase. QUOTE (endlesslymocking)BSG! All very good guesses, but the winner is ............... endlesslymocking. If endlessly doesn't have a question ready, I've got another one of my own queued up...
  8. QUOTE (Slaine mac Roth @ Oct 8 2005, 08:11 AM)1001001 QUOTE (MrMiltonBanana)#1 PRIEST Both of you are correct, but neither of your answers is the right one. I am rephrasing the question: Name a TRF user who has only uppercase letters in his or her name.
  9. I'll ask a question. Whoever knows the answer's welcome to think of another question... Name a TRF user who has no lowercase letters in his or her name.
  10. Staying at my folks' place for the weekend. Planning to watch Gandhi, followed by Black Hawk Down, with some Russian beer.
  11. QUOTE (rickyrob @ Oct 1 2005, 08:33 AM)...they make kiss look like Steven Tyler can do phenomenal things with his voice, and he's one of the top hard rock singers ever. Joe Perry also ranks among the top blues-rock electric guitar players. Pump was Aerosmith's best album, and Honkin' on Bobo was great after their 15-year sell-out.
  12. Gonna stick around here tonight, maybe watch Gandhi a little later.
  13. QUOTE (stoopidbat @ Sep 21 2005, 07:04 PM)I'm absolutely addicted to sudoku!!! This past spring I found a news article describing what a hit it had become in England- included was a sample puzzle. I WAS HOOKED IMMEDIATELY. At that time, the only place to find more puzzles was on the web. Luckily, however, the craze has caught on over here as well, and my local newspaper now publishes a daily puzzle. Quite a few sudoku books out now as well! Now I have to go try the puzzle physics linked to.... It's become an epidemic in this country also. There's a puzzle in all the leading daily papers, special sudoku inserts in the weekend edition, books galore - and now it's gotten to me. QUOTE (Rolinda_Bonz)wow, that took me 65 min!!! (including making and eating dinner and one smoke break) not bad for the first time, but i'll need to practice. what's the "best time" i need to beat? great link, physics! Glad you're liking it. That one took me a long time to solve too, and I needed a nap in between! I think breaks are good for the mind, though. Each day, the puzzle difficulty rises. Whatever number of stars yesterday's sudoku was, today's'll be a star higher. (Until the fifth star, whereupon the cycle begins anew.) I've yet to solve a 5-star one. What's most frustrating is when I'm close to the end, and I see I've made a mistake. Trying to retrace one's steps at that point can be exasperating.
  14. Really hard to make up my mind, but I'm gonna go mit "Grace to Grace."

  20. I'll go with rushgoober's choice for Star Trek: The Next Generation. I seem to never outgrow that show. On the other hand, I'm crazy about Seinfeld. It's a close call. http://images.encarta.msn.com/xrefmedia/sharemed/targets/images/pho/t051/T051508A.jpg . . . . http://www.stanthecaddy.com/images/the-little-kicks-1904.jpg
  21. QUOTE (invisibleairwaves @ Sep 3 2005, 01:52 PM) I thought it was was pretty good. The genetic profiling thing was very interesting Yes, the movie's handling of the issue of genetically engineered babies and of personal identities was excellent. It was just a very clean and solid movie overall, I thought. The story developed nice and smooth, all the twists and surprizes were pulled off deftly.
  22. Gattaca (1997) Director and writer: Andrew Niccol (The Truman Show) Starring: Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, Jude Law. Watched this Friday night and thought it was great. It's one of those movies that leaves your mind wondering and wandering. Very highly recommended. Has anyone else seen it?
  23. The Brittany look definitely does it for me. I love the black hair, her dark gimlet eyes, and that irresistable smile.
  24. 3 useless facts about the number 613: 1. There are 613 seeds (or arils) in every pomegranate. 2. There are 613 Commandments in the Jewish religion. 6. The number 613 hangs from the rafters at Madison Square Garden in honor of legendary New York Knicks coach Red Holzman's 613 victories.
