  1. I'm a long time fan started in '75 at the age of 10 but sadly didn't get to see them live until 2004, so happy they came back to touring and blessed us with so many years. I don't know if any of today's band will last 40 years and still be able to pack the arenas like Rush does...they are very very special.
  2. Wow looks like there was a lot signed in silver/white....those look awesome!
  3. Here is mine from last tour...looks like Alex signed this one, still waiting on this tour. http://i39.tinypic.com/297dyo.jpg
  4. "putting out a DVD would remove the incentive for some to see the show if they can just buy the DVD" Are you serious! No way can a DVD replace the experience of seeing them live if at all possible. I don't know about the release of the live CD or DVD but I do think if a second leg is coming it would be spring of 2016...that is the way it has gone in the past.
  5. I think it is awesome that you got it back with all 3 signatures, that doesn't always happen. I like to know who personalized it because they put the little extra DNA on it...lol.
  6. Ah I would say Neil then.
  7. Eagle I was thinking on a magazine it might be different because they are signing their pictures
  8. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u176/TomD14/Nick%20Rush%20Signed_zpsizrtqjuh.jpg This one I would say Geddy did
  9. This one looks like Neil personalized
  10. I sent a note to the last show's venue...I also wrote a note with my request last time that included a thanks to Liam
  11. No I'm pretty sure the guys personalize them. Neil's writing is very neat and tight(kind of like him..), Alex's is sprawling, and Geddy's is loopy
  12. who's name is first under your's? That I think would be who personalized it.
  13. "I'm thinking to myself: Just think, Lorraine, they actually sat in front of this magazine and signed it for you!! " That Liam should get a huge thank you note from Rush fans for doing this for us!!! " Yes exactly, that they touched something I get to touch...crazy but it makes me feel special. I did send a thank you to Liam after last tour, who knows if he ever got it.
  14. egad...I'm crying I'm so happy for you...and that they used a silver marker is so awesome....yay...yay, woot woot
  15. Geez Lorraine you got me again....lol....crossing fingers you get a reason for a huge smile today.
  16. I'm usually on a pretty good high for a couple days after the concert...it is the following week that the sadness hits me, and this year it is especially bad because of maybe being the actual last time. One of the many reasons I started saving so I could go to multiple shows each tour.
  17. Welcome So happy that you got to see them live, every Rush fan should be able to do so. Bummer that the people around you were not into it. I was only at 1 show where alot of the fans didn't seem into it, I took myself down to the floor and over to the rowdy sections for certain songs so I could rock with the fun crowd. I don't know if having everyone else not stand would keep me from rocking out it I really wanted to, it is their choice to sit it out or not.... "Roll The Bones, Tom Sawyer, 2112, Spirit of Radio", see I like these songs but I really love some of the deep cuts live....can you dance to them...maybe not but you can still rock to them. I'm 50 but managed to stand for the whole show...it does help when you are on the floor, you can't see them unless you stand.
  18. I get all teary eyed just thinking about what a great time I had at the shows this year and to think that might be it....oy!
  19. Fly by Night got me into RUSH(at the age of 10, the year it was released) and 2112 kept me...although there are parts of COS I like too. I pretty much love everything on FbN and 2112.
  20. Ha, Lorraine, every time I see that you are the last one posting on this thread I think "YES" she got it..... And I can't tell you how many times I ran my fingers over my CA signed tour book just to think about touching the same thing they touched to sign....I have issues. :), I finally framed it behind glass so I wouldn't rub the signatures off. I have looked at the signed items posted and I'm pretty sure you can tell who personalized it because they sign just below the To Name , not to mention they have different styles of writing. I am certain that Alex personalized mine.
  21. hint on the folding. If you fold it over top to bottom first then left to right, it makes it easy to open fully, just hold the top 2 corners and the rest falls open for you. Both Alex and Geddy acknowledged my sign...not sticks or picks but still it was nice to get the nod and smile from them.
  22. I really loved the whole show, the backwards progression of time and props, the music choices, the light show, the videos...seriously I wish I could have gone to more venues. It is so hard to take it all in during just one show. I loved the high school theme at the end, I have been saying for years I wish they would just let the guys up there and let them play...watching their fingers fly across the strings was amazing, and the blur of drumsticks...wow, just wow.
  23. ditto Union, I was front row so just held it out in front of the barrier so not to block views...it is hard enough to see from the floor further back past heads/arms/ and cell phones
  24. I think it depends on the venue When I took my sign in, I had it divided into 4 parts which I glued to the poster paper, then folded it up in 4ths so that I could show the whole sign or just 1 or 2 frames. Once folded it was about 8 1/2 x 11 so easy to carry in. One of the frames just said "Thanks for the music" which is what I had it on mostly.
  25. Yeah in Buffalo we had the dancing air thing, with a maple leaf tshirt on In NJ there were a couple of sumo wrestler dudes
