  1. Doobie Brothers-One Step Closer (9/10) Been a bit obsessed with this album. Being one i never listen to as much. Always thought and it was weaker. and i'd hear that too (you can deny it but the powerr of word of mouth and general opinion in music is VERY powerful) and it's like i'm just discovering it. Yes it has more in common with a Michael Mcdonald solo album. BUT it has that late 70'searly 80's smooth vibe i love. Mick
  2. i get why. he's music is facinating to just read abut. but.. listening to it i got like zero out of it. Shoe's on the other foot. now i feel like you. when i plant you with something that misses you, lol Mick
  3. Still Zappa. Tried some Miles Davis and..........nope i'll just leave him for folks who can appreciate that stuff. guy's obviously a pioneer and a game changer but........whoosh......right over my head, lol Actually i highly enjoy listening to people talking about miles music more then his actual music Mick
  4. This was a weird spin....i mean for me. Miles Davis-Kind of Blue. i tried. really REALLY tried. but this kind of music just.......right over my head. i respect this man. but this stuff ain't me and it's ok. in fact it was torturous and that just told me i can save my time and energy. Mick
  5. i only know it cause Segue told me. I honestly can't say i've seen this talked about. funnily other than here, lol yea same as you. Mick
  6. i'm not gonna lie here too. if like a lot of singles are released. when the album drops i've been known to skip the singles on my first listen. i mean i will go back and play the whole but yea i do that. it kinda has a negative impact on my initial listten. Mick
  7. i agree. i've seen some bands put out 6 out on a 12 song album. now you're just fukking around, lol Preist is getting close if we get another i'll jusat laugh cause your essentionally premature ejaculating then. Mick
  8. Also just to add. the mcdonald Doobies are becoming my fav era. i never used to like but i changed my mind. Classy rhythmic catchy stuff. Mick
  9. Frank Zappa. i get he's not for every one but the amount of re-play value this man has for me insane. Ii do however mostly stick to the canon zappa when he was alive. the archives are insane and overwhelming. Mick
  10. Steely dan is my fav band. they just kill every album. Mick
  11. i'm closing in on 40 i still remember being 12 and hanging out in my local record store and buying on a whim a new album called falling Into infinity by Dream theater vividly. I swear it was yesterday, lol Mick
  12. i'm kind of unfair to this album. cause to me fergie is just not my fav voice out there. but the songs are mighty. interesting tidbit. David Paitch from an intterview said he doesn't (or didn't i don't know how he feels now) have fond memories of recording Isolation. said fergie was a nice guy but incredaly hare to record with. He said in a number of cases they had to stich together a vocal from him line by line......IN 1984!!!!! again this is just what the man said. i was not there. i was but a sperm in a ballsack don't take it from me Mick
  13. yea none of the singles ripped my head off, lol. they're good one in there i'd say is great. but my head is still in tact. still......looking forward to the album though Mick
  14. I liked mostly all them.Crowns of Horns being my fav. the only song i i'm gonna flat say i do not like is Trial by Fire. i've heard it lots and that rising beyond the fact that it's a song, lol. People are saying this could rise above firepower. and while most is very quolity and on point. i don't feel earth shattered like firepower did for me.........BUT still you won't hear me badmouthing anything done here. Mick
  15. hey i'm just saying what i see. I think both sides in the US are ridiculous so.....lol. it's all a circus to me. Mick
  16. um......my mother consumes FOX regularly. and all they yammer on about is swift. and these are older white shits so it's kinda creepy. I don't like talking about this stuff but i had to say this. Can't let this pass with Swift. the right is fixated on her. and the left is fixated on the fixation. alsoi it's all my right leaning younger cousin can talk about, lol. Mick
  17. i'm born in 85 so i came up watching WWF and WCW during the fabled wars (fun time) but my cousin fan And he haad stuff from his dad Taped off of tv from the territories so i got to know some classics from that became a huge fan of Flair, Ronnie Garvin, Stemboat, Stan Hansen (Bradshaw/JBL is a total hansen ripoff, lol) Arn, Tully.
